Expectations Firstly, thank you for allowing your son/daughter to attend this trip. We appreciate that you have paid a lot of money for your child to attend but we are confident that this will be an extremely enjoyable, educational and cost effective experience. In order for us to ensure that the trip runs smoothly, we would be grateful if you could reinforce a number of points with your child prior to the trip: Students must keep their seat belts fastened when travelling on the coach. Students will need to report to their group leader at regular intervals. Students need to stay with their group leader when walking between locations. They need to be aware that London can be very busy and chaotic. Designated road crossing are to be used at all times and only under the supervision of group leaders. Students will have some free time in Covent Garden. They will need to stay in groups of a minimum of three. They are not to leave the Covent Garden area. Students will not be allowed to go into rooms of other students at night time. Students will need to have lights out at 11.30pm and be considerate of noise. The students are representing Churchdown School and themselves and a compliance with the above will help us to all enjoy what I am sure will be a fantastic trip. If you would like any further information about the trip, please email rlh@churchdownschool.com and I will be happy to answer your questions. Alternatively, we will be holding a brief meeting after school on Friday 19 th June at 3.30 to answer any questions you may have. It is not obligatory that you attend but if you feel you would like more information than that which has been provided in this booklet then please come to the Drama Studio at 3.30pm. Medication If your son/daughter is taking any medication this will need to be given to their group leader prior to our departure on Wednesday morning. Please can you place it in a clearly labelled transparent plastic bag. If there are any changes in medical circumstances since the reply slip was returned to school, please inform us by emailing the above address. 5
