2 1. Summer Camp dates and length of stay The Summer Camp starting dates are the following: July 10th, 2016 August 7th, 2016 Students can choose to stay at the Summer Camp either one or two weeks. 2. Mandarin Chinese Classes Mandarin Chinese classes will be scheduled from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm, for a total of 15 hours per week (30 lessons in total). Each class lasts 50 minutes and is followed by a 10 minute break (see Summer Camp Program below). Classes are organized in small groups, with a maximum of 10 students per group. Participants will be divided in different groups according to their Mandarin Chinese Level. The course will focus on the oral practice of everyday situations. Students who already possess an Intermediate or Advanced Mandarin Chinese level can participate in Hutong School s Intensive Chinese Program. Otherwise, Hutong School will organize private classes 2 hours per day (that is to say, a total of 20 lessons instead of 30). Moreover, students will be challenged to practice what they ve learned during the sightseeing and cultural activities organized in the afternoon, aiming at applying language learning to real life. 3. Sightseeing and Cultural Activities The Summer Camp furthermore consists of 18 activities, including: Sightseeing (tours to the Great Wall, Lama and Confucius temples, Gulou District, the Summer Palace, etc.) Cultural activities (introduction to Chinese calligraphy or to Tai Chi, acrobatic shows, etc.) Recreational activities and lectures (KTV night, cooking classes, lecture on Studying, working and living in China, etc.)

3 4. Accommodation During the whole length of the Summer Camp, students will lodge in a youth hostel based in the center of Beijing, in the hearth of the hutongs of the Dōngsi District. Participants will have a single bed in a room of up to four beds (not mixed). The hostel is equipped with WIFI (in the lobby and bedrooms), air conditioning, a restaurant and a relaxation area, where students can rest and spend their free time. The program also includes all meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast will take place in the hostel, and other meals will be consumed at the school or nearby touristic sites. Restaurants will be chosen in order to ensure that participants will taste and discover the many flavors of Chinese cuisine during their stay! 5. Transport All transportation in China is included: round trip from the airport to the city center, trips to touristic sites and to the school. The way of transport will depend on the destination: public transport or minibus. Transportation to and from the airport in the home country is not included and is the participant s responsibility /7 supervision and assistance Students will enjoy their cultural immersion hassle- free thanks to our 24/7 organizational support. A trained supervisor will be at participant s complete disposal anytime and accompany the students during sightseeing, cultural activities and evening events. Furthermore, an interpreter will be ready to solve linguistic and comprehension problems during the whole duration of the Summer Camp. 7. Prices and number of participants The Summer Camp is offered at a price of 990EUR/week per person. The two weeks program has a total price of 1,980EUR. Participants can apply both individually and in groups. For groups of more than 5 people Hutong School offers a 5% discount For groups of more than 10 people Hutong School offers a 10% discount
