Roofs The following slides show the need to replace to replace the roof at both buildings (SES and SHS). There are at least 180 leaks in the roof at Sandusky Jr/Sr High School (counting ceiling tiles with water spots). The shingle roof at SHS is 20 years old. There are at least 100 leaks in the roof at Sandusky Elementary School (counting ceiling tiles with water spots). The Building/Grounds Committee recommends that both roofs be replaced in the next bond. The estimated cost to replace the roof at SHS with a shingle roof is $470,000 The estimated cost to replace the roof at SHS with a metal roof is $799,000 Which type of roof is our best choice? The estimated cost to replace the roof at SES is $523,400, plus an additional cost of $10,000 to replace the roof ventilator.

Parking Lots It is the recommendation of the building/grounds committee to replace the following asphalt areas: SHS: Replace the North Driveway to Campbell Road. The estimated cost is $48,000. SHS: Pulverize, shape, and pave all asphalt (not to include Pine Tree Lane). The estimated cost is $599,900 At this time, the committee is not recommending repaving Pine Tree Lane or the elementary school parking lot. The committee believes these areas will suffice for another 5-6 years until a sinking fund could be voted upon.
