WHY CHOOSE A LIQUID MEMBRANE?

IT S A

FLAMELESS,

HOT ASPHALT-LESS,

PUT-A-GREEN-ROOF-ON-IT,

PLAZA-ENABLING,

GET-AROUND-EVERYTHING,

EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE

ROOFING SOLUTION.

BENEFITS No risk of fire, odor or injury. Increased opportunity for water on roofs. Easier maintenance than for traditional plaza roofs. More manageable and maneuverable than heavier rolls. Made to tackle the most irregular roofs.

THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF LIQUID ROOFS, BUT PMMA MEMBRANE SYSTEMS PERFORM BETTER AT LOWER TEMPERATURES

ADVANTAGES

ADVANTAGES Multiple substrates, including metal, wood, plastic, concrete, asphalt and insulation.

ADVANTAGES Versatility. Easy-to-install, two-part system.

ADVANTAGES Simplicity. Ease of application.

ADVANTAGES Flexibility. Installs in cold or hot temperatures (23 F 122 F).

BENEFITS Versatile systems Versatile applications Chemically cured and works in various outdoor temperatures, from 23 F 122 F Reinforced liquid system free of seams Fast installation and cure time Resistant to chemicals, UV rays, roots and rot Eligible for 20-year NDL Guarantee Resistant to ponding water Low VOC

COMPONENETS

PRIMERS

WHY PRIME?

WHY PRIME? Promotes and improves adhesion.

WHY PRIME? Recommended on all substrates.

WHY PRIME? Required on ISO and cover boards.

WHY PRIME? Critical on metal drains and linear metal terminations (gravel tops).

WHY PRIME? Inhibits corrosion after metal preparation.

SEAMFREE PMMA PRIMER PMMA based Ideal for most substrates Horizontal and vertical applications

SEAMFREE PMMA PRIMER HIGH TRAFFIC PMMA based Heavy-traffic roofs High-traffic plaza decks Vehicular traffic

SEAMFREE PMMA PRIMER METAL Non-PMMA based Required for any metal

RESINS

FLASHING FIRST

FLASHING FIRST Always reinforced with fleece.

FLASHING FIRST Typically installed before the field.

SEAMFREE PMMA RESIN WINTER GRADE PMMA based Horizontal application

SEAMFREE PMMA RESIN STANDARD GRADE PMMA based Vertical application

SEAMFREE PMMA FLASHING RESIN FIBRATED PMMA based Vertical application When fleece is not an option or is impractical

REINFORCING

REINFORCEMENT SeamFree PMMA scrim 14 and 41" available

SURFACINGS

SEAMFREE PMMA RESIN TOP COAT Optional Available in white and many other colors

INSTALLATION

1. Check the environment

2. Gather your tools and crew

BASIC CREW CREW Mixer Runner Back-of-Roll Worker Side-of-Roll Worker

THINGS TO REMEMBER BATCH MIXING Stir Container Before Pouring Pour off What Can Be Used in 15 20 Minutes Have Fleece Precut for Work Add Catalyst and Apply

3. Prepare the surface

PRIOR TO APPLICATION, YOUR SURFACE MUST BE Clean and Dry Max. 6% Substrate Moisture Content or 75% Humidity Min. Roof Bond Strength of 116 PSI (0.8 N/mm 2 ) Min. Traffic Bond Strength of 219 PSI (1.5 N/mm 2 )

CONSIDER YOUR DECK TYPE Concrete & Masonry, New Construction Re-Roofing Metal & Rigid Plastics Smooth or Granule-Surfaced SBS Modified Bitumen & BUR Wood Sheathing Smooth-Surface APP Modified Bitumen Rigid-Roof Insulation Board

FACTORS FOR MIXING Primary Influence on Resin Curing: Substrate Temperature. Catalyst Potency: May Lose Strength with Improper Storage or Age. Less Than 2% Catalyst: Addition Is NOT Recommended. Catalyst Adjustment: May Be Required if Temperature Difference Between Resin, Air and Substrate Is 20 Degrees or More.

JM RECOMMENDS JM Recommends Using a Scale to Measure Each Resin Component and Catalyst When Batch Mixing. Thoroughly Mix the Entire Container of Resin for 2 3 Minutes Before Each Use and Prior to Pouring off Resin Into a Second Container if Batch Mixing. Catalyze Only the Amount of Material That Can Be Used Within 10 15 Minutes.

When a scale is not available, a culinary measuring tablespoon can be used to measure the appropriate quantity of SeamFree PMMA Catalyst needed.

3. Priming

3. Flashings, Fittings & Seams

4. Onto the field

After the SeamFree PMMA Liquid Membrane has fully cured, one of multiple surfacing options can be installed: SeamFree PMMA Top Coat SeamFree PMMA Textured Traffic Coat Aggregate
