1 Roof Systems Overview Cold Applied Built-Up Roofing Systems BURmastic Tremco s line of cold applied built-up roofing systems. BURmastic 200 Combines Tremco s expertise in asphalt blending technology with our experience in felt production to produce a continuous lay built-up roof system without the need for hot application techniques. When BURmastic Adhesive is combined with the BURmastic Composite Ply, it produces the highest quality, cold applied built-up roof available. The BURmastic Composite Ply is a unique glass-polyester carrier. The strength and flexibility of the specially designed coating assures maximum performance with the BURmastic Adhesive. This system, unlike many with glass plies, is applied directly from the roll without the need to cut and relax the ply sheets. This assures the maximum in productivity during application. BURmastic 100 Combines Tremco s BURmastic Adhesive with specially designed glass plies to provide a cold applied built-up roof of long-term, high quality performance. This system would be chosen when the contractor has experience in the application of glass plies which require cutting and relaxing before application. The BURmastic Adhesive can be sprayed, brushed or squeeged applied, allowing for a rapid built-up roof application without the need for hot application techniques or equipment. Hot Applied Built-Up Roofing Systems THERM Tremco s line of hot applied built-up roofing systems. THERM 200 The ultimate in flexibility and performance of a field applied, built-up roof system. THERM 200 blends the high quality and performance characteristics of THERMastic with PolyTHERM, a specially chosen heat-stabilized spunlaid polyester. This unique combination allows the installation of the strongest, most flexible built-up roof system currently available, using traditional hot built-up roof application techniques. THERM 100 A glass-reinforced, kettle-modified bitumen system offering the highest quality adhesive and glass reinforcement currently available. The THERMastic kettle-modified bitumen provides the high quality performance characteristics of an SEBS modified bitumen, with the ease and familiarity of the application of a built-up roof. Coupled with THERMglass Plus (an ASTM D 2178, Type VI glass ply), THERM 100 is a roofing system with outstanding performance and flexibility. Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems POWERply Tremco s line of modified bitumen roofing systems. A family of modified bitumen systems with varied coating formulations and carriers to give a wide variety of performance characteristics to meet specific roofing needs. All POWERply sheets exhibit excellent low temperature flexibility and long-term weatherproofing performance. Tremco s own felt production facility helps assure the tightest quality control. POWERply membranes are available in a variety of surfacing options including granules, fire retardant surfacing, and smooth (for subsequent field applied gravel or reflective surface coating). POWERply systems may be applied with either POWERply Rubberized Cold Adhesive or POWERply Modified Hot Melt Adhesive depending on the ultimate performance requirements of the system. Single Ply Roofing Systems TremFAST Tremco s line of PIB single ply roof systems. TremFAST PIB (polyisobutylene) single ply roofing systems are unique white, polymer-based membranes that naturally resist ultraviolet rays and ozone deterioration. These great weathering characteristics combined with their ease of installation provided by their self-sealing seams and excellent long-term performance make TremFAST systems ideal for new construction, retrofitting or replacing of a roof system. Available in either a Premium 120 or Standard 100 mil polyester fleece reinforced membrane, TremFAST PIB can be hot applied with a hotmelt adhesive or cold applied with TremFAST Adhesive LV. 4-1

2 Restoration Systems A complete line of restoration coatings are available for masonry walls, built-up and metal roofing systems. These materials, when combined with proper analysis, repair and application, can dramatically extend the life of an existing smooth or gravel roofing system. Restoration coatings are designed to prolong and protect functioning roofs and are not substitutions for replacement. Custom Systems By combining the various plies, adhesives and coatings, available systems can be customized to meet virtually every performance need. Some combinations available include hybrid hot and cold systems or systems which combine both polyester and glass reinforcement plies. A few of the possible options are listed in this manual. Waterproofing Systems Tremco s protected roof membrane systems are designed to waterproof and protect structural concrete decks from the elements of weather. Offering both hot rubberized asphalt and cold applied systems, Tremco s systems provide protection that will extend the life of a roof. Ideal for new construction and high-rise buildings. 4-2
