Target Audience This conference is designed for Rehabilitation Nurses and interested allied health care professional working in acute rehabilitation, Transitional Care Units, and Nursing Homes. overview & objectives The focus of this conference is to increase the awareness of complications, barriers, and disturbances to the healing process in rehabilitation health care and to support the continued growth of attendees knowledge and expertise to innovatively overcome those barriers in the specialty of rehabilitation nursing. Upon completion of the conference, through lectures, hands-on, and exhibits, participants should be able to: Identify health disturbances common in the rehabilitation setting, including sleep, bladder function, and renal function and describe strategies to overcome them. Explain the essential role of the Rehabilitation Nurse in facilitating care transitions.
