AnyConnect on Windows How Do I Install AnyConnect on a Windows PC? How Do I Open AnyConnect on my Windows PC? Locate the AnyConnect Application 1. Go to Start > Programs. 2. Locate and open the Cisco folder. 3. Open the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client folder. 4. Double click on the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client application. Enter the VPN Portal Address 1. In the field under VPN: enter vpn.tufts.edu. 2. Click Connect. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 9

Enter Your Credentials 1. Username - Enter your Tufts Username. 2. Password - Enter your Tufts Password. 3. Click OK. Once the connection is complete the AnyConnect icon will appear on your status bar indicating you now have a secure link to the Tufts network with full access to all Tufts network resources, such as P:, Q:, and R: drives and restricted Web pages. Remember to disconnect at the end of every session to ensure that you do not have a secure link open for another user to access. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 10

How Do I Map to a Tufts Network Drive on a Windows PC? Locate My Computer Go to Start > Computer or Start > My Computer. Map Network Drive The Computer window with all available drives will open. Click Map Network Drive. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 11

Select Drive Letter 1. Click the drop down window next to Drive:. 2. Select an unused drive letter. You may select any drive letter, but if you want to match your Tufts drives, P: is the drive for a personal drive, Q: is the drive for a departmental share drive and R: is for a research drive. Enter Drive Path 1. In the folder field, enter the exact path to your network drive. (Note: Paths are casesensitive.) 2. Click Finish. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 12

General formula for drive mapping. n The path to your P: drive will typically end with your Tufts Username (e.g. jsmith01). n The path to your Q: or R: drive will end with the name of your departmental share. n There should be no spaces in the path name and drive paths are case sensitive. The use of \\titan\xxxxxxxx will work when physically on the Tufts network, but you must use the fully qualified domain name of \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\xxxxxxxx when connecting from a remote location. Therefore, the best practice is to always use \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu (smb://titan.tccs.tufts.edu on a Mac) when mapping your Tufts network drives. P: drive syntax = \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\your_tufts_username Windows P: Examples: \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\jdoe01 \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\jsmith Q: or R: drive syntax = \\server\departmental-sever\your_department Windows Q: Examples: \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\uit$\admin VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 13

\\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\as01$\your_department \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\flt01$\your_department If you are unsure of what either path should be, contact the TTS Service Desk at it@tufts.edu or call (617) 627-3376. Enter Network Password 1. In the first field enter tufts\tufts Username. 2. In the second field enter your Tufts Password. 3. Leave the checkbox Remember my credentials unselected. 4. Click OK. In your My Computer window you will now see a Network Location section with your drive. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 14

Note: Your new drive will remain as a Network Location even after you disconnect from AnyConnect, but clicking on it will result in an error message telling you that the network path was not found. As soon as you reconnect to AnyConnect, your drive will be accessible again. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 15

How Do I Disconnect from AnyConnect on my Windows PC? Disconnect from AnyConnect at the end of every session to ensure that you do not have a secure link open for another user to access. Disconnect from AnyConnect 1. Click on the AnyConnect icon on your status bar. 2. Select Disconnect. VPN - AnyConnect on Windows 16
