Job Description Director of Treasury, Funds and Investments Reporting to: Chief Executive Responsible for: Directly managing three positions that are to be recruited in 2016: Treasury and Investments Administrator Credit Systems Developer Investment Analyst The organisation: The post holder will work in close liaison with the Finance and Administration Director, and Project Development Director. Reall is pioneering the development of a global bottom of the pyramid housing market across a network of Development Enterprises, each focused on creating financially, socially and environmentally sustainable urban living environments. Reall is also pioneering a global investment platform for financing housing developments across its network. This presents a blue ocean potential for growth, but also the challenges of uncharted waters, which are somewhat mitigated by knowledge sharing to promote innovation and minimise failure. Role overview: The primary purpose of this role is to build Reall s investment platform, its management capability and reputation, and to grow its current assets and portfolio of funds to sustain network growth and impact. We are at a pivotal point in our evolution, with the potential for exponential growth. The successful candidate will need to be a strategic thinker, with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a high tolerance for risk, as well as being adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity and change. Other: The post holder will be part of the Executive Team. Key responsibilities: 1. Strategy Providing financial models for forecasting/testing the robustness of Reall s investment strategy 2. Treasury Managing Reall s treasury to ensure capital adequacy Monitoring/managing risks

Investment Devising investment strategies to achieve Reall s strategic objectives Undertaking due diligence of existing and new partner organisations Monitoring the performance of loans and investments Analysing investments Managing investor relationships (including reporting) 4. Development Developing processes and data systems to enable effective analysis, estimation and decision-making Refining existing investment facilities and developing new where required 5. Fundraising Developing new investment products Supporting marketing initiatives to secure new investment 6. Compensation Package: Salary Location Hours Annual leave Pension Contract Probation Notice period 60-65K, negotiable depending on experience Coventry Normal office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Person Specification Director of Treasury, Funds and Investments Education: Preferable: Qualifications in business studies, fund management, statistics, finance, mathematics, accounting or economics MBA or similar advanced degree in a related field Financial Services Authority registration/accreditation Experience: Preferable: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Investment Portfolio Manager, Treasury Management or Research Analyst role Experience in real estate investment Experience in frontier markets Impact investment / social enterprise experience Experience in dealing with multiple currencies / developing country currencies Key competencies Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of the alternative finance market Extensive existing personal networks of key early stage investors Working knowledge of relevant foundations and grant-making organisations that are relevant to the enterprise sector Experience in structuring equity and debt financing deals Demonstrable experience in both the demand and supply of business finance and investment Skilled influencer and persuader who challenges in an objective way; strong negotiation skills and ability to say no diplomatically where required Excellent financial modelling skills A practical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to make clear and concise decisions An excellent presenter who is confident in pitching at a Board level.
