The EMC class of each product s defned n the type desgnaton code. Category C1: Frequency converters of ths class comply wth the requrements of category C1 of the product standard EN 61800-3 (2004). Category C1 ensures the best EMC characterstcs and t ncludes converters the rated voltage of whch s less than 1000 V and whch are ntended for use n the 1st envronment. NOTE: The requrements of class C are fulflled only as far as the conducted emssons are concerned. Category C2: Frequency converters of ths class comply wth the requrements of category C2 of the product standard EN 61800-3 (2004). Category C2 ncludes converters n fxed nstallatons and the rated voltage of whch s less than 1000 V. The class C2 frequency converters can be used both n the 1st and the 2nd envronment. Category C4: The drves of ths class do not provde EMC emsson protecton. These knds of drves are mounted n enclosures. Envronments n product standard EN 61800-3 (2004) Frst envronment: Envronment that ncludes domestc premses. It also ncludes establshments drectly connected wthout ntermedate transformers to a low-voltage power supply network whch supples buldngs used for domestc purposes. NOTE: houses, apartments, commercal premses or offces n a resdental buldng are examples of frst envronment locatons. Second envronment: Envronment that ncludes all establshments other than those drectly connected to a low-voltage power supply network whch supples buldngs used for domestc purposes. The descrptons have been arranged accordng to parameter group and number. 9.1 Motor settngs (Control panel: Menu PAR -> P1) 1.7 CURRENT LIMIT Ths parameter determnes the maxmum motor current from the frequency converter. To avod motor overload, set ths parameter accordng to the rated current of the motor. The current lmt s equal to (1.5*I n ) by default. 1.8 MOTOR CONTROL MODE Wth ths parameter the user can select the motor control mode. The selectons are: 0 = Frequency control: Drve frequency reference s set to output frequency wthout slp compensaton. Motor actual speed s fnally defned by motor load. 1 = Open loop speed control: Drve frequency reference s set to motor speed reference. The motor speed remans the same regardless of motor load. Slp s compensated. 1.9 U / F RATIO There are three selectons for ths parameter: 0 = Lnear: The voltage of the motor changes lnearly wth the frequency n the constant flux area from 0 Hz to the feld weakenng pont where the feld weakenng pont voltage s suppled to the motor. Lnear U / f rato should be used n constant torque applcatons. See Fgure 9.1.
