Role Reporting Information Role Title Business Analyst Position Number Role Reports Directly To Practice Leader EnergyAustralia Group Executive Manager Chief Information Officer Date 10/08/2015 Role Family Analyst (Why the family exists and how it adds value to EnergyAustralia) The analyst role family is responsible for understanding business requirements and translating into technology planning and activities including both business and technical analysts. Purpose of Team / Business unit and Key Challenges (how the business team and business unit add value to Energy Australia) The purpose of this team is to enable the transformation of IT through the establishment, management, and reporting of IT performance across the following functions 1. Corporate IT Reporting Establish and implement a reporting structure for whole-of-it business Be accountable for the consolidation of all reports across IT, including but not limited to IT performance dashboard, exception reports, corporate reports, customer/business satisfaction report, and IT risk reports etc. Ensure all reporting aligns with corporate requirements and any industry regulation requirements and is produced in a timely manner 2. Portfolio Planning and Demand Management Establish the portfolio planning capability and its associated performance and benefits management and reporting Manage the demand and supply for IT, including any investment decisions Facilitate prioritisation of projects across IT as aligned with enterprise wide strategic priorities Provide support to projects and Centres of Excellence in benefits management and realisation 3. Portfolio/Program/Project Management Office (PMO) Establish and manage the PMO processes and templates Ensure relevant processes, tools and templates are in place and adhered to by all projects and Centres of Excellence 4. Commercial and Vendor Management Develop an IT vendor strategy to drive improved performance and simplification of vendor landscape while retaining competitive tension in a complex multi-sourced environment Design and implement improved governance and reporting of vendor performance including improved Service Level Management Provide IT commercial management and reporting of budget

Strategic Workforce Planning Establish an IT Workforce Strategy for ongoing development and continuous improvement of organisational IT capability Manage strategic workforce allocation based on forecasted IT demand and supply as aligned with SFIA framework Key Challenges include: Building capabilities within the IT Performance and Reporting team while providing services to the Design & Execution and Infrastructure Delivery & Support teams Ensuring alignment between IT performance/reporting and the IT strategy/plan defined by the IT Strategy & Planning team Ensuring alignment of activities in the Commercial & Vendor Management function with the enterprise s Procurement Business Unit while simplifying the IT vendor landscape Developing frameworks, policies and procedures in a greenfield environment Driving simplicity in a complex technical and multi-sourced environment Purpose of Role (single sentence statement of why the role exists and how it adds value to EnergyAustralia) Works alongside the business to define and document business requirements; liaises with the end users, system analyst, solution architect, vendor developers and testers to ensure the business requirements are understood.
