VP Finance The VP Finance has the role of treasurer within the. This person is responsible for both accounts payable and receivable, and the filing of expense reports. Throughout the year, this individual must provide information about the budget to allow for the team to take the best decisions. A person who is honest, responsible and competent must fill the position of VP Finance. Create both a yearly and quarterly budget encompassing all upcoming events After each event, calculate the real budget and compare with the projected budget Regularly update all executives on the budget and explain any variances Ensure that expense reports are filed quickly Perform deposits and write cheques as required Present the budget to the CASA Board of Directors Strong sense of integrity and accountability An analytical and logical approach to problem solving Well-organized with great attention to detail Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills
VP External Affairs The VP External Affairs is responsible for maintaining sponsor relationships and seeking out new sponsorship. This person is the face of the and is responsible to maintain relationships with the other CASA subsidiaries. This position requires someone who is dynamic, sociable and well organized. Maintain relationships with sponsors as well as seek out new sponsorship opportunities Create and purchase promotional items for the executive team of JMAS Must attend all accounting department meetings Maintain relationships with other CASA subsidiaries Attend events held by other CASA subsidiaries Create sponsorship reports for sponsors after events Attend accounting conferences Strong interpersonal & organizational skills Ability to thrive in pressured or stressful situations Dynamic & sociable Outgoing, optimistic & hardworking
VP Internal Affairs The VP Internal Affairs is responsible for the meetings minutes, room bookings, internal communication and logistics. This person is also responsible for organizing activities to get the team to bond together. This person must be responsible and very well organized. Taking minutes during all JMAS meetings and booking rooms as required Organize bonding activities for the team Maintain office hours for student inquiries Responsible for the JMAS office Communicate with the internal lines of communication of JMSB Strong interpersonal & organizational skills Exceptional conflict resolution skills Ability to work well on a team Ability to take initiative & work independently
VP Academic The VP Academic is responsible for the planning of all educational events such as tutorials and speaker series. The VP Academic is also responsible for planning, executing and maintaining the Mentorship Program. This position is best suited for somebody who is reliable, resourceful and has great knowledge of the academics department of JMSB. Provide help and guidance to students in regards of the accountancy program at JMSB Organize tutorial sessions for students (Comm 217 & 305, Acco 310 & 330, etc.) Keep the CPA information page updated Create online resources for students (CMS, JMCC, etc.) Develop and implement a continuation of the Mentorship program Knowledgeable Strong interpersonal & organizational skills Ability to multi-task Detail and deadline-oriented
Marketing Team VP Marketing The VP Marketing is responsible for all promotional efforts done by the John Molson Accounting Society. This person should be comfortable using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. This position is best suited for somebody who is good at managing people, creative and has a good knowledge of computers. Editor-in-Chief of the Dividends magazine Manage the marketing team consisting of the Directors of Marketing and Multimedia Create graphic designs for any marketing materials required by the team Create promotional videos for events Promote CASA Strong leadership skills Outgoing & Optimistic Creative & Imaginative Technical Skills (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

These individuals are also responsible for maintaining a presence on social media and helping with both on and off campus marketing campaigns. This role is best suited for somebody who is very creative and sociable. Director of Multimedia The Director of Multimedia is a member of the marketing team and will have his tasks delegated to him by the VP Marketing. This person is mainly responsible for website design, content and maintenance. This role is best suited for somebody who has experience dealing with web hosting and design. Events Team VP Projects (2) The VP Projects are responsible for the planning and execution of all events that promote the accounting profession. These include events such as information sessions and networking cocktails. This position is best suited for somebody who is reliable, resourceful and enjoys being challenged.
