1 14 th Management Committee Elections PRESIDENT (X1) - Head of the CEC Management Committee - Representative of all SCE undergraduate population in the Students Union Council - Instill the vision and enforce the mission of the Club - Oversees, ensures and direct the planning, execution and control of Club events and operations of the Club - Experience in the operations of the various events and responsibilities of the various portfolios in CEC Management Committee - A leader Expected Level of Commitment - Extremely High Others - Students in their first Academic Year in SCE are not eligible for this position - Must have served in the CEC Management Committee previously VICE PRESIDENT (X2) - Assist the President in the management of the Club - Assist the President in the supervising of various portfolios in the Club - Assist the President in maintaining the relationship between SCE staff, students and alumni - Represent the SCE undergraduate population in the Students Union Council in the absence of the President - Must have served in the CEC Management Committee previously - Good organization skills - Aptitude to manage people - Initiative - Ability to get the job done HONORARY GENERAL SECRETARY (X1)

2 - In charge of the Club s records and conduct all administrative correspondence, internal or external, of the Club - Keep proper minutes of all meetings of the Club and of the Management Committee - Keeping a record of CCA points - Be responsible for convening all meetings of the Club and of the Management Committee - Submit at Management Committee meetings, any matter for discussion received from any member of the Management Committee of the Club - Submit the records of the Club for inspection by any member of the Club, who shall give one week s notice to the Honorary General Secretary of his/her intention to inspect the records, subject to the approval of the Management Committee - Good command of English - Responsible and reliable - Good planning skills - Able to handle heavy administrative duties FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (X1) - Primarily in charge of budgeting, ensuring that the club s events does not suffer from deficit - Handle payment and reimbursement of goods and service - Planning of club budget - Preparation of financial reports of the Club - Maintain good cash flow and accountability of funds - Precise, honest patient, diligence and responsible - Understanding of financial procedures - Meticulous in settling claims - Good leadership skills - Good interpersonal skills CORPORATE LIASON OFFICER (X1) - Maintain and establish relations with external organizations - Coordinate with external organizations to promote SCE and arrange for company visits - Liaise with external companies to explore opportunities that will benefit the School of Computer Engineering cohort - To find sponsorships for CEC events - To collect the sponsorship items from the sponsors

3 - Organize recruitment talks and professional / grooming workshops for SCE students - To maintain and upkeep the relations with the sponsors - To meet the sponsors and introduce them about the club if necessary - Past experience in liaising with external organizations - Relationship Management skills - Past experience in getting sponsorship for events - Good writing and communication skills in English - Being cheerful, friendly and patient will be a plus while liaising with sponsors - Must be professional and uphold the end of the contract the club has with the sponsors - Being tactful and resourceful - Class 3 Driving License (optional) ACADEMIC OFFICER (X1) - Prepare Lecture Notes for all SCE subjects - Prepare solutions for Past Year Papers - Organizing and holding the Student-lead Peer Tutoring Group - Organizing the second-hand book sale - Receptive to needs of the students keeping in mind their academic welfare - Willing to contribute to enhancing the functioning of the Club - Persuasive personality Others -Be a highly dedicated and committed individual who wishes to voluntarily fulfill the students' welfare. MEDIA & PUBLICATION OFFICER (X1) Job scope - In charge of visual documentation of all CEC events (articles & photographs) - Publish textual notifications/information on behalf of CEC and re-publish official notifications/information from SCE - Publish/advertise all of upcoming CEC events - Create CEC-specific merchandise for example laptop case, jacket, t-shirt - Co in charge of the Club s yearly publication / Newsletter / Graduation Yearbook / Freshmen Handbook. - The latest happenings in and outside school and snippets of useful information are brought out in print by this portfolio through its publications - Demands constant updating of school news to the students on the Club site Recommended experience/skill

4 - Good English grammar & past experience in publications - Be able to manage and utilize sub-committee members skills - Good with two or more design tools: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDraw. IT TECHNICAL OFFICER (X1) - Technical support for the IT related initiatives in CEC - Responsible for maintenance and upgrading of SCE Student Lounge - Maintenance of the SCE Student Lounge computers with latest updates and applications - Technical support for the IT related initiatives in CEC - IT Advisory role for club's activities - Good facility management skill - Wide knowledge about IT, from hardware to software - Experience in web development - Knowledge in HTML, PHP, and other web development tools - Excel and experience in managing blogs and using the engine - Knowledge on JavaScript and CSS-based web designing - Experience in using hosting sites (for both image and files) LOGISTICS OFFICER (X1) - In charge for inventory and access of storeroom and Siggraph room - Collaborate with other main committee members to support all club events by providing necessary equipment and manpower - Maintain the cleanliness of Siggraph room and storeroom - Maintain regular inventory of goods stored in the Siggraph room - Well aware of all club events and timelines - Conscientious - Responsible and reliable - Available in times of need - Good manpower and resources management SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL SECRETARY (X2) - Harcharan Singh Shield Games Chairperson

5 - Chief Team Manager for Team SCE in Inter School Games (ISG) and Inter School Recreational Games (ISRG) - CEC representative in ISG Working and Sports Committee - Organize sports and recreational activities for SCE community (e.g. event planning, venue and equipment booking prize, closing ceremony, etc) - Assemble and conduct trainings for Team SCE - Experienced sports or recreational games player/coach - Events management experience - High level of initiative - Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (X1) - Implement Corporate Social (CSR) events - Maintain relations with external non-profit organizations - Contribute and extend SCE s support to the community - Past experience in liaising with external organizations - Excellent communication skills SOCIAL SECRETARY OFFICER (X1) - Organize and plan welfare events such as Exam Welfare Package, Main Committee Sub Committee bonding and other internal events to improve bonding & cohesiveness - Creative mind - Hardworking - Good interpersonal skills - Good managing and organization skill SPECIAL PROJECTS OFFICER (X1) - Grow the club's funds through special fund-raising projects, such as selling food items and roses on Valentine's day - Initiate new and innovative special projects - Involve the committee and SCE students in raising funds for club activities and events
