Pilts Type A Main features f Pilts Type A Fcus n interperability and building n Member States slutins Member States - Lead actrs (Industry key rle in the Implementatin) The utcme shuld be an pen, cmmn interperable slutin with results widely disseminated and available t all Member States ( 1 prject per bjective) Scale and participants Legal minimum f 6 Member States (=natinal administratins r cmpetence centres acting n their behalf) r assciated cuntries participating in the cnsrtium. Duratin and Funding Duratin is typically up t 36 mnths with a pilt service perating fr 12 mnths. The EU cntributin is limited t the csts fr achieving interperability. The indicative Cmmunity cntributin available is 5-10M / pilt

Replicatin and wide validatin f best practices can be specified in bjective. emphasis n fstering innvatin in services e.g. take-up cmpleted R&D wrk, extend already tested prttype services r cmbine / integrate several partial slutins t realise a new innvative apprach Particular attentin t cmmunicate and disseminate the pilt experience and utcmes in view f explitatin, replicatin r scaling up f pilted services Scale and participants Minimum f 4 legal entities frm 4 different Member States r assciated cuntries. Cnsrtia are expected t engage the cmplete service value chain, including relevant public authrities (sustaining partners), service prviders, industrial stakehlders & users Duratin and funding Duratin is typically 24-36 mnths including the peratin f a pilt service fr at least 6 mnths The Cmmunity cntributin is typically in the range 2-3 M / pilt

E.g. wrking grups, wrkshps, exchanges f gd practices in view f actin plans, standards and specificatins Clearly defined and measurable results - shall be in the public dmain. EC cntributin is typically 300-500 K /netwrk funded thrugh lump sums (default) r actual cst (if specified in the wrkprgramme bjective)

Best Practice Netwrk Main features f Best Practice Netwrk (BPN) Only fr the digital libraries theme. Prmte the adptin f respective standards and specificatins by cmbining the "cnsensus building and awareness raising" functin f a netwrk with large-scale implementatin n a sufficient mass f cntent. The cmmissin can rganise Clustering meetings" in rder t achieve brad cnsensus and create the cnditins fr the widest pssible uptake f the recmmendatins f the BPNs. Objective 1.2.a): Pilting ICT-based Interperable Fare Management (IFM) fr sustainable mbility Cnditins and characteristics (1/2): The pilts shuld invlve stakehlders frm the whle value chain needed t ensure effective deplyment f the applicatin (e.g., public transprt peratrs, telecm, suppliers, service prviders and industry). The participatin f users is essential. Validatin must be carried ut in real life cnditins, fr at least 1 year, and result in a cnslidated set f best practices, including guidelines, business mdels, manuals, training material. It is expected that the pilts present a strategy fr a sustainable deplyment f the systems and services beynd the pilt phase.

Objective 1.2.a): Pilting ICT-based Interperable Fare Management (IFM) fr sustainable mbility Cnditins and characteristics (2/2): Special attentin shuld be paid t service interperability and the use f existing standards. The pilts need t have a strng fcus n the incrpratin f several services n a single pen platfrm, and n the crss brder capabilities f that platfrm. Slutins shuld be based n pen specificatins and pen standards, allwing interactin with multiple prviders Prpsals shuld take int accunt results f previus EU funded prjects in this field, and the results f the preparatry actin launched by the Cmmissin "T develp and validate a Eurpean passenger transprt infrmatin and bking system acrss transprt mdes"
