Fees for 2015 To get maximum value for money when using your account, it is important that you understand how fees are charged. By choosing the right type of account and using it for its intended purpose, you can keep your fees to a minimum. In this brochure are the revised fees applicable to PlusPlan, PureSave and MarketLink accounts from 1 January 2015. Value-added offers To help you reach your savings goals the following benefits are provided on the various products: if you keep a balance of at least R10 000,00 in your PlusPlan account you do not pay the monthly management fee; if you keep a balance of R6 500,00 in your PlusPlan account you qualify for five free debit transactions a month. These include cash withdrawals, inter-account transfers, electronic account payments and debit orders; electronic inter-account transfers from Standard Bank transaction accounts into PureSave and MarketLink accounts are free of charge; and you are allowed one free electronic transfer from your PureSave and MarketLink accounts into your linked Standard Bank transactional account every month. Managing your bank fees Keep fees to a minimum on your account by following a few simple guidelines: use self-service channels like our ATM network, Cellphone Banking and Internet Banking. These services are much cheaper than going to a branch; instead of drawing cash, use features like electronic account payment and inter-account transfers through our ATM network, Cellphone Banking and Internet Banking; take advantage of the free transactions offered on your account; make sure that your accounts have sufficient funds to cover your payments; and to avoid paying the cheque deposit fee, try to have money paid electronically into your account. For more information on the fees or your account call us on 0860 123 000, visit www.standardbank.co.za or any branch. How to calculate your transaction fees Some transactions are charged a base fee plus a percentage of the transaction value while others are charged a base fee only. For example, an ATM cash withdrawal of R500,00 will attract a base fee of R4,70, plus R6,75 (1.35% of the transaction value of R500,00), giving a total fee of R11,45. *Terms and conditions apply. This brochure is not a full list of our prices. For more information, please contact your branch. Prices include VAT and are subject to change. 6
