Kazzum wants every young person to reach their creative potential. We re about theatre the theatrical experience which we believe works as well in a festival field as on a traditional stage. In a classroom as well as in a car park. We don t do traditional shows or have audiences sitting in rows in a theatre. We have them move around, get involved and be part of the action. We create all our shows from scratch, working with the best professionals, often from outside children s arts. So our offer is always fresh, playful and unexpected, bringing children and young people to new ways of understanding and exploring the world around them. We want our theatre to be as dynamic as the world in which young people live. Our programme of work has three main strands which interact and allow dynamic, open and valuable ideas to thrive. ARTISTIC our produced work which is alive with the voices of our young audiences. This work includes UK-wide touring of outdoor, family-friendly show to festivals, as well as immersive, site-responsive shows. IGITAL our exploration of the digital landscape as both a place to allow creative conversations to thrive and digital narrative to be born. GNRATION our work within young people s communities from workshops, to consultancy, partnerships and training, this strand allows us to make long term meaningful relationships with young people who don t ordinarily have the chance to experience the arts. For example, our Pathways programme offers young refugee and asylum seekers creative activities, and provides platforms for young people to engage with policy and decision makers.
