This is a temporary contract for six months. The period of notice is 1 month in writing on each side. There is a probationary period of three months 25 days per annum pro rata, plus statutory holidays. 2 A. JOB SUMMARY The Production and Marketing Manager provides essential support to coordinate the production, sales, readership and business development of Green Futures, working to the Editor. The jobholder will liaise with external suppliers, business partners and the reader community, providing a central point of contact between the editorial team and the outside world. They will also play a key role in developing Green Futures reach, maximising its online revenue and increasing its profile across a variety of platforms. Day to day, the role holder will oversee the delivery of benefits to sponsors and partners; maintain the subscription and circulation, lead on advertising sales, maintain financial records, feed into development plans and provide general support to the team. 3 C. RESPONSIBILITIES (Key Actions & Results/Outcomes) Action 1. Partnerships Assists with the delivery of the Green Futures Partnership programme (including the Green Futures aspect of other Forum partnerships), including researching potential partnerships, liaising with partner contacts to deliver day-to-day benefits of the Partnership scheme, assisting the Editor with the renewals/recruitment process (including producing Impact Reports), following up sales pitches with contractual aspects and managing day-to-day fulfilment. Leads on relationship management with two key partners. Result/Outcome Partnership scheme works smoothly, partners receive all the benefits to which they are entitled, and so are more likely to renew / deepen involvement. 2. Advertising Leads on advertising sales; liaises with freelance advertising sales people. Green Futures reaches advertising revenue targets and maximises advertising opportunities 3. Marketing Leads on the production of marketing materials both for attracting new subscribers, and for sponsorship and business development purposes. Green Futures has a fresh and complete set of marketing materials, with brand consistency across all outputs. 4. Green Futures subscriptions Working alongside the Finance and Admin Manager, maintains and updates the subscription and circulation list, including liaising with the subscription agency and mailing house. Leads on researching and pursuing opportunities for recruiting new subscribers. Green Futures reaches target audience and maximises controlled and paying subscribers 5. Community management Oversight and quality control of the Green Futures website. Understanding of editorial considerations in scheduling publication of articles. Able to trouble shoot problems with the The Green Futures website is maintained to a high standard, with relevant stories published in a timely manner. Unavoidable glitches are resolved

4 content management system, particularly relating to the online subscription pages. Daily management and development of Green Futures social media presence, specifically the twitter and Facebook accounts. Reporting on both social media and website KPIs to Trustees Provides the main point of interface between Green Futures and the outside world, being responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, handling telephone enquiries, and co-ordinating day-to-day relationships with suppliers and contractors. 6. Management Shared responsibility for volunteer / intern supervision: managing and supervising volunteers and interns on a day-to-day basis. Oversight and quality control of the work of the team administrator. 7. Forum wide activities Makes good use of Forum s internal communications channel, Campus, to keep the rest of the organisation informed about the latest developments on Green Futures, eg. producing posters, intranet updates, newsletter copy etc. Contributes to shared Forum activities and office responsibilities including learning, team building, information management, and support for the Forum values. Represents the Forum and Green Futures at external events. quickly and efficiently. Green Futures social media presence continues to grow, and a lively dialogue with followers is developed and nurtured. Queries are handled promptly or forwarded to the appropriate member of the GF team. Interns are well managed, provide positive feedback, and learn from their placements with Forum. Administration function of the team is completed to a high standard. Colleagues at Forum for the Future are up to date with the latest plans at Green Futures, and are able to talk about them to an external audience. Forum for the Future retains and builds its positive, values-led and learning culture. Green Futures, Forum for the Future and our work maintain and raise their profile.

5 D. PERSON SPECIFICATION Proven publishing or media experience, preferably with specific sales, marketing or communications/pr experience as well as editorial / research skills.
