Professional Bachelor 3 or 4 years International Logistics and Economics Years 1 and 2 In the first and second years, you complete projects, courses, training courses and coaching sessions. You learn how to plan and organise the production process. You will finish these two years with an industry project on transport and distribution. Year 3 In the third year you carry out two work placements, both for three months at for example a production company or commercial enterprise. In the second part of that year you deepen your theoretical knowledge. NHTV Breda offers two international and English-taught programmes in the field of logistics. In the economic programme the emphasis is on financial aspects and marketing. In the engineering programme, it is more on the technical aspects of storage and transport. After your graduation in Logistics and Economics, you are the logistic expert who offers optimal customer service at minimal cost to any logisticsrelated business challenge! Year 4 In the fourth year you take a number of specialist classes and work on your graduation assignment for an international company in the Netherlands or abroad, where the business language is English. Study programme This programme focuses on competency-based learning. This means you will acquire the knowledge, skills and attitude required in your future career. Collaboration, communication and organisational skills are key ingredients, which is why you will often work on real-life projects together with fellow students. More specifically, one of the projects will teach you how to organise a production plant as well as everything related to delivering goods to customers.
International study trip In the first two academic years you can earn two credits by completing a course or practical component of your own choice. Consider, for example, participating in an international study trip to New York, Dubai, Cape Town or Arizona. Other destinations are Berlin, London and Barcelona. Exchange programme Since the study programme prepares you for an international career, you will have the possibility to participate in an exchange programme at a partner university of NHTV or another university. 3-year track It is possible to do the study programme in three years if you completed: > pre-university education, e.g. vwo, Abitur, A-level, IB > vocational education (related programmes, level 4) > a propaedeutic year at another higher education institution or university Check www.nhtv.nl for more information on the three-year tracks.
