5 Three routes. One destination! Our IBMS programme has three distinct routes to suit the diverse knowledge levels and educational backgrounds of new bachelor s students. IBMS 4 year bachelor s programme IBMS 3 year bachelor s programme IBMS 4 year bachelor s programme (German track) Established in 1988, IBS Groningen is the oldest international business school in the Netherlands, based at a university of applied sciences. Our school strives to be at the cutting edge in providing quality business degrees to students from the Netherlands and worldwide. The experience we have gained over the past 25 years has shown us that one size does not fit all! What important characteristics do the IBMS routes share? Part of IBS Groningen: over 1,400 students, over 40 different nationalities. The stepping-stones to career success. 6 The Success Stories! IBS conducts social media research about its alumni in the global job market: LinkedIn, November 2014 Research was undertaken on the IBS Alumni Group on LinkedIn. A total of 801 unique graduates profiles were assessed. The research team focused on some key questions. Primarily, what was the current job held by each member. Sub-questions looked at the international location of each alumnus, the year of graduation and which job or career paths were most popular. International business alumni 63 different countries were represented in the research as the current location of an IBS alumnus. The Netherlands featured very strongly, followed by Germany, Scandinavia, United Kingdom, China, Spain and the USA. International companies listed as employers of multiple alumni included Accenture, AEGON, Deloitte, Google, ING, KPN, Philips, Rabobank and Unilever. Career paths and the job market IBS alumni are employed in a wide range of business-related roles. Popular peaks of marketing, finance and accounting, management, business development and consultancy are supportive of the IBS specialisation lines. Life-long learning also featured, with 7.7% of alumni currently enrolled in a new study programme (in most cases, moving on to a master s or PhD). Only 1% of alumni listed as unemployed. An IBMS graduate is extremely employable, having acquired the knowledge level and skillset to move forward along a rewarding career path! This research has painted a wonderful picture of global graduate success at IBS. 99% of the alumni we connected with are enjoying business careers around the world. Dean of IBS, Mr Bram ten Kate MSc Preparatory Course A dedicated Preparatory Course (one semester) for international students, which focuses on improving the level of English language, as well as developing professional skills and intercultural awareness. Students who pass the Preparatory Course will be admitted into the appropriate IBMS programme. The Preparatory Course is an additional programme, with its own tuition fees and costs.
