You must be fully enrolled in the correct courses for your program of study by this time If you have not paid your tuition fees in full by the semester Census date your enrolment will be cancelled 3

Program Rules - Bachelor of Business Management Important points to remember: Students will complete a total of 24 courses (#48 units), which will comprise Compulsory Group 1 courses, Group 2 courses towards a chosen Major(s) and General Elective courses (if completing one Major only). Please make sure you read and understand the program rules and requirements and refer to the program instruction sheet provided (you will need to select a course combination). Students who receive academic advanced standing must complete a draft study plan for approval. Students must return their draft study plan by Friday, 7 August 2015. FACULTY OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND LAW Advanced Standing for Previous Studies Students who have previously undertaken studies (Bachelor degree, associate degrees, diplomas, higher diplomas, advanced diplomas) may be eligible to apply for advanced standing towards their UQ program, depending on the duration of their previous studies and the equivalency to our courses here at UQ Students who have come from High School or Foundation programs are not eligible for advanced standing and may complete their entire program at UQ Students are not permitted to return to their home institution to take more subjects/courses in order to transfer further advanced standing to their UQ program, unless special permission is granted If you think you may be eligible for advanced standing then please complete a Credit or Exemption for Previous Studies form and submit it to the BEL Faculty Collaborative Learning Centre (FCLC, Colin Clark Building, Building 39). FACULTY OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND LAW Applying for Advanced Standing Please be sure to hand in finalised transcripts and detailed course outlines with your Credit or Exemption for Previous Studies form. Course outlines should include: Details of the modules studied Contact hours per week Textbooks and reference materials required Examination and assessment procedures and Institution grading scale Please allow up to 4 weeks for the processing of advanced standing A program change may affect your advanced standing You will be notified of the outcome of your request for advanced standing via your UQ student email Formal letters detailing your final advanced standing will be released prior to census date (Monday, 31 August 2015) - you will receive these via your UQ email address, please ensure that you check your UQ email account regularly 10

Students who receive academic advanced standing must sign and return their advanced standing letter before Census date (Monday, 31 August 2015) Once Census date (Monday, 31 August 2015) has passed advanced standing cannot be removed from your studies report but advanced standing can be added at a later date If you are unsure of the major/s you intend on studying then you are strongly advised to contact your Advisor so that your advanced standing can be confirmed before Census date (Monday, 31 August 2015) If you have advanced standing for General Electives you will not be able to complete two majors If you are considering a program change then you should also speak with your advisor so that they can assist you with any advanced standing related issues and your program plan 11
FACULTY OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND LAW Visa Issues The amount of advanced standing you are granted will affect the duration of your CoE and Visa What major/s you choose will affect your advanced standing. If you are unsure whether you would like to complete one major or two please request the least amount of advanced standing and contact your Advisor so that they can make sure your advanced standing is correct before Census date (Monday, 31 August 2015). Advanced standing can be added, but cannot be removed once census date has passed. Ensure that you complete your studies within the duration of your visa.
