(PRMC) raises, distributes & sells the finest quality, humanely-raised, flavorful meat products, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences and consumer education about where our products come from and how they are raised. We sell our meats at our retail Meat Shop in San Francisco s Ferry Building, at farmer s markets, and through a growing wholesale operation. We have expanded our Ferry Building presence by preparing our own tasty, cooked to order creations using our products at our new American Eatery, adjacent to our Meat Shop. Job Summary: The FM Team Lead is responsible for maintaining PRMC FM programs and managing all activities of the department including selling and service management, merchandising and business management, product handling and presentation, scheduling, ordering, receiving, and inventory control to PRMC standards. The FM Team Lead plans, orders, prepares, develops pre and post financial reports according to department goals and standards to maximize sales and gross profit. This position is responsible for training and developing staff, work schedules, and supervising and managing department staff to ensure correct ordering, receiving, loading and unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays, customer service, cash handling and day-to-day sales operations, budgeting, strategic planning and execution, and establishing budgeted goals while developing annual department budgets. Supervisory experience: hiring, training, motivating, evaluating and coaching, setting compensation, termination, overseeing supervisory employees, and other similar functions 4. Financial experience: proficient in excel, in addition to operating, capital, and cash budgeting; interpreting and analyzing financial statements, accounting ratios, etc. 5. 7. Manages inventory to ensure selection, freshness, and availability of product to drive sales; follows procedures for effective inventory control; controls expenditures and resources 8. Effectively implements promotional programs, merchandising and pricing plans 9. Manages department budget and achieves financial goals including sales, gross margin and labor 10. Successfully monitor and establish fleet and equipment maintenance program 11. Effectively create a PRMC customer service standard and create a culture of customer service excellence with documented feedback loops. 12. Food Safety ability to create and maintain a food safety program that will document our cold chain. 13. Meat merchandising skills constantly find new and innovative ways to take the farmers market experience to the next level it always looks fresh and great. 14. Track record for leading, training and extracting the best from human resources. This position is strong in HR development and technical training. 15. Able to create structure where needed. Can identify process breakdowns and training issues; create fixes/new SOPs and train staff to new SOPs. 16. Accountable for accuracy of cash and inventory for FM department 17. Ability to work farmer's market every Saturday and Sunday and develop and analyze new market opportunities DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Management experience for a small business with minimum annual sales volume of $2.5 million annually 2. Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategy for development and growth in a competitive market 3. Experience in natural food and meat industry and knowledge of current trends 4. Experience and familiarity with small family farms and sustainability in the food industry PRINCIPLE DUTIES 1. Supervise the day-to-day task assignment for and performance of PRMC Farmer's Market Department 2. Manage all matters relating to employees and the FM team recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and performance management. 3. Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and department operations policies, procedures, practices, and programs. 4. Ensure future growth by executing a defined strategy to deliver the long range plan. 5. Analyze results and trends and prepares action plans to leverage the farmer's market strengths and address areas of opportunity. 6. Plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily assignments and activities of employees to meet the needs of the business 7. Ensures profitability.
MANAGEMENT-ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Supervise the day-to-day task assignment and manage performance of Customer Service Associates. This includes recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, managing performance, and administering progressive discipline. 2. Oversee the completion of duties by employees. 3. Ensure proper training and training compliance of all FM employees. 4. Ensure creation of the FM weekly schedule, while working within labor budgets and meeting target. 5. Evaluates department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement; reinforces strengths while developing and implementing improved practices and procedures 6. Ensures company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained; ensures current food handler permits are maintained for department employees 7. Monitors cooler and display area temperature to ensure product quality; report refrigeration failure immediately 8. Responsible for scheduling department employees and adhering to wage and hour policies and regulations 9. Coordinates returns and credit from suppliers where applicable; keeps accurate accounting of credit requests 10. Reviews invoices for accuracy 11. Supervises, trains, reviews, and develops team members in accordance with company policies and procedures; administers and documents corrective actions 12. Oversee cash management procedures. Monitor and analyze reports relating to Loss Prevention and report trends to the SOM. 13. Ensures accuracy of weekly payroll, which includes the proper editing of timecards when necessary, using the appropriate charge codes and weekly submission. 14. Respond in a timely manner to any product recall from Supply Chain Manager and follow established processes. 15. Analyze EOD income reports and utilize to ensure farmer's market profitability. 16. Ensure execution of established security, quality and FM operations policies, procedures and practices listed in training materials and other publications. 17. Manage all safety programs and ensure proper execution and compliance. Report and document all customer and associate incidences in the appropriate time frame. 18. Value FM employees through celebration and recognition. 19. Communicate with SOM regarding customer service issues and concerns. 20. Operate the cash register, scan items, credit card machine, bag merchandise and make/provide change for purchases. 21. Maintain proper cash levels in register drawer. 22. Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner. 23. Follow proper coding procedures. Check expiration codes and inspect all items once during shift. Pull expired items, document and discard following company policy. 24. Inspect all food items for markets to ensure the proper temperature and freshness. 25. Maintain the quality of all food items. 26. Adhere to all PRMC safety standards. 27.
