Full benefits apply, including tuition waivers for the employee and their dependents EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: June 1, 2014 SUMMARY of DUTIES: The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and administering selected server systems, personal computer systems, providing systems and personal computer support and supervising student workers by performing the following duties. The AVP for IT Services may assign other duties. 1. Installs, upgrades and configures network printing infrastructures and maintains campus print management software. 2. Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. 3. Assist with upgrades of network hardware and software components as required. 4. Assists with network and computer systems technical support to all users in order to better troubleshoot the system issues. 5. Coordinates with the AVP for IT to ensure proper licensing and maintenance of all computer hardware. 6. Assist with the training, planning and preparation for the annual computer rotation project with the PC Coordinator. 7. Maintain a list of systems issues; determine solutions to those issues and an acceptable schedule for resolving the issues. 8. Serves at the backup to the PC Coordinator. 9. Provide assistance as needed, to the AVP for IT and other IT Department staff. 10. Administers campus servers including anti-virus, patch management, web servers, licensing servers, and other systems as required by the AVP for IT. 1

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant program from an accredited university; two years of related experience with some supervisory responsibility desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in higher education and with Microsoft Windows Server systems preferred. Must be proficient with commonly used Internet browsers. Must maintain a current Texas driver's license and be at least 21 years old to drive any vehicle, including personal vehicles, on behalf of the University while performing job duties.
