1 2014 - U40 Network Sponsorship Opportunities The U40 Network is an under 40 year old young professionals group representing future leaders in all areas of the construction industry. The group s objective is to promote a forum where relationships within the construction industry can be developed. This is a great opportunity for VRCA members to invest in their employees development as the next generation of construction executives. The promotional benefits of branding your company to a target audience can offer great exposure to the products and services you have to offer the industry. PLATINUM Investment: $1,500 Includes: Sponsorship at event listed below, plus one Mentoring Breakfast session. VRCA & U40 Boat Cruise Event details: Each year VRCA s U40 Network hosts an evening boat cruise in Vancouver s False Creek area. This event includes a tour along the inner harbour, a buffet dinner, and mingling opportunities with the current and future leaders in the construction industry. Approximately 175-250 members attend this event. Promotional Benefits: Sponsorship will include a tradeshow table onboard the ship, your corporate logo on both the U40 and VRCA websites and announcements made in our social media outlets (both VRCA and U40). A representative from the sponsor company may be involved in the welcome speech at the event, otherwise verbal recognition will be made by the U40 Chair. 2 complimentary tickets will be available. The sponsor may also run any fundraisers or contests at the venue. All suggestions must be approved by the U40 Committee prior to the event. Note: the sponsor may also suggest other ways to promote their company and support the event. All final decisions will be made by U40 Committee. U40 Casino Night Event Details: An original U40 event, a favourite with the group to meet other young construction professionals. Approximately 50-70 attendees. otherwise verbal recognition will be made by the U40 Chair. Signage will also be placed at the prize table. Sponsor may set up tradeshow booth or stand up banner, and display brochures at the guest tables. Date: November 20
2 SILVER Investment: $500 Includes: Sole sponsor at one primary event (as listed below) U40 Annual General Meeting & Building Competition Event Details: The U40 Executive Committee reviews the year of activities, and elects their new slate of executives. After the meeting, a Mingler takes place with a Popsicle stick building competition. Approximately 50-70 attendees. Sponsor may also be a guest judge for the Building Competition. Date: January 22 VRCA Go-Karting Night Event Details: Connect with old and new associates as U40 members race around the track! Approximately 50-60 attendees. The sponsor may also be involved in the welcome speech at the event. Date: May 15 U40 Night at the Nat Event Details: Help the U40 Network send some very deserving kids and their volunteer kidcoaches to a Vancouver Canadians game at the Nat Bailey Stadium. Proceeds from each ticket will go towards purchasing 10 tickets for kids and their coaches to attend the same game. Approximately 40 attendees. Date: June 26
3 U40 Night at the Races Event Details: Dress up for the derby racing! Approximately 40 attendees. Date: August 22 U40 Oktoberfest Event Details: Each year the U40 Network chooses a different venue to pay tribute to Oktoberfest. Past events have included a construction tour and brewery visit! Approximately 50-70 attendees. Date: October 23 BRONZE Investment: $250 Includes: Sole sponsor at one primary event (as listed below). U40 Mingler Event Details: Usually known as the traditional pub night, the U40 group scouts out a hip venue downtown to meet and catch up on what s new in the construction industry. Approximately 50-70 attendees. Partial proceeds of the ticket revenue are donated to KidStart, U40 Network s charity of choice www.kidstart.ca. Date: December 18 Mentoring Breakfast session Event Details: Enjoy breakfasts with leaders in BC s construction industry and hear first-hand as they talk about their career in the industry, their successes and their failures. Approximately 20-25 attendees. otherwise verbal recognition will be made by the U40 Chair. The sponsor may also introduce the speaker, have a tradeshow booth or stand up banner set up, and display their brochures at the guest tables. Date: May/June/August/September/November
4 U40 Volunteer Day at the Zajac Ranch for Children Event Details: Each year a group of U40 members and their families head out to the Zajac Ranch for Children in Mission to help out with maintenance and repair tasks around the site. The Zajac Ranch for Children provides a safe and enjoyable camp experience for children with serious and chronic illnesses, disabilities and medical conditions, who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend camp due to their medical challenges and financial resources. Date: April 26 U40 GOLF TOURNAMENT Event details: A relaxing day of golf foru40 and Over 40 s at the MayFair Lakes Golf & Country Club, this tournament is famous for their grand prize: The Instant Wine Cellar and the Best Dressed Golfer Award. Dinner follows the afternoon round of golf. Over 40 golfers are more than welcome to attend as all U40 events are open to the construction industry at large! Approximately 110 140 golfers, up to 160 at dinner. Description: Listed below are the main sponsorship opportunities for your firm to consider. Prizes will also be gratefully accepted in advance and with the final decision made by the U40 Golf Committee. VRCA is open to discussion on any new and innovative ways one may be able to get involved and support this event.
