DOUBLE BACHELOR DEGREE SWISS BACHELOR OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS IN HOTEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT AMERICAN BACHELOR OF ARTS IN HOSPITALITY BUSINESS MANAGEMENT The programme has a strong professional focus for students seeking a career in the international hospitality and tourism industry. Students combine practical courses and management subjects with the development of a personalised business plan in the final year. Qualifications have been designed to deliver an appropriate blend of skills and knowledge in academic disciplines, professional hospitality and tourism management and personal and social development. A wide choice of specialisations allows students to concentrate on a particular field of interest. The course emphasises on managerial and strategic knowledge along with business aspects and research techniques. Students graduate with a Swiss Bachelor of International Business in Hotel and Tourism and an American Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Business from Washington State University (USA). The Bachelor programme is a three-year degree requiring eight-terms of full-time academic study. Each term comprises of 11-weeks on campus and includes two compulsory internships of four to six months each. Graduates have the potential to commence their career at an intermediate supervisory level, and will possess the analytical and management skills appropriate for progression to a wide range of positions at a more senior level. 02 Four Intakes Per Year Students can choose to start their academic studies in January, April, July or October allowing flexibility to students of all nationalities. IMPROVE BUSINESS ENGLISH COMMUNICATION 06 A key component of a successful career within the hospitality industry is the ability to communicate in more than one language, most importantly in English. All courses at César Ritz Colleges are taught in English and students must have a high level of English to be able to start their academic studies. Students English level is evaluated before they can apply to study at César Ritz Colleges, if the standard is not met then the English Foundation Programme, based at Le Bouveret Campus is an ideal way to strengthen English language skills before commencing hospitality studies. The length of the course depends on each student s personal English level and motivation, with the objective of achieving the required score to enter the desired hospitality course. The English Foundation Programme runs throughout the year in four-week blocks. Students may enter the course at any point however they must complete a minimum of four and a maximum of twenty weeks.
