Scholarships If you would like to take one of our MSc programmes but worry about the cost, you may be eligible for one of our scholarships. These are merit-based awards and successful candidates are selected by a panel of representatives from the Business School. Our scholarships are available to students who are nationals of the countries outlined in the table opposite. You ll need to have been made an offer of study before you submit your application. Please note, you won t be able to receive a scholarship if you are receiving any other University of Birmingham scholarship, or other full scholarship from another source. The scholarship covers your tuition fees, accommodation costs, economy return flight and work experience. There is also a maintenance element and potential extra funding for athletic development. You can apply online, and will need to supply a personal statement to support your application, stating why you think you should receive the award.

It also empowers those who seek to gain entry to our MSc and MBA programmes. The student group consists of those studying the GDBA as a standalone qualification, as well as those undertaking both the first year of the MBA 24/21 month programmes, and the first year of the MSc 24 month programmes. Key features of the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (GDBA) include: A flexible Diploma route to MBA and MSc programmes An essential and recognised qualification in business Students take 12 modules over one academic year English language support is provided throughout the programme Students experience a wide range of teaching and learning methods The GDBA enhances employment opportunities for participants Programme Content We employ many teaching and assessment methods on this programme that reflect the standards required by our MBA and MSc programmes. MSc entry criteria and how to apply For entry to all of our 12-month MSc programmes you will need the following: a good honours degree (2:1 or higher), or equivalent from a recognised university. Additional programme specific entry requirements MSc Financial Management MSc International Accounting and Finance MSc Investments A degree in any subject with a pass mark (or a pass grade) in any quantitative subject (such as econometrics, statistics, mathematics, physics, or any other relevant module), or a degree in any subject with any pass grade at GCE in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics or Physics. A degree in a relevant subject. You must have achieved a mark equivalent to a 2:1 at Bachelors level in Basic Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Corporate Finance and Financial Management (or equivalent) modules and you should have studied the majority of Audit, Tax, Management/ Cost Accounting, and Financial Statement Analysis modules at Bachelors level. A degree in a relevant subject and/or obtained good grades in mathematical related modules at undergraduate level Applying There is no official application deadline date but you should apply as early as possible, especially if you need a visa to study in the UK, or you plan to apply for one of our scholarships.
