3 Entrance Qualificatins fr WMG MSc Prgrammes Yu will have cmpleted an undergraduate degree in engineering, infrmatin technlgy, business r ther relevant discipline. Other disciplines may als be cnsidered if yu have a prven level f numeracy and / r relevant wrk experience. Yu shuld have a minimum CGPA f 2.5 r secnd class hnurs degree. English language requirements WMG set an fficial IELTS entry threshld f 6.5, r equivalent. Students will slightly lwer scres may be eligible fr cnditinal acceptance t the prgramme, thrugh the PG Award, Certificate r Diplma tracks. The curse demands a lt f writing and mdules are highly interactive. EMU therefre prvides an nging prgramme f language and study skills supprt fr all WMG students. Students wh have nt yet attained the qualificatins fr autmatic entry may asl be able t enter the ne-semester Eastern Mediterranean University Certificate in English Language and Management Skills prgramme, which has been apprved by WMG as a feeder curse t the MSc. Hw lng des the WMG MSC Prgramme take t cmplete? The full MSC prgramme cmprises nine mdules and a prject, and full-time students are expected t cmplete all prgramme requirements in ne calendar year. Students registering part-time n the prgramme have a maximum f three years t cmplete prgramme requirements. The pre-msc EMU Certificate prgramme takes an additinal 12 weeks t cmplete. Is this a jint prgramme? N, the prgramme is delivered entirely by The University f Warwick WMG. Eastern Mediterranean University des hwever ffer exemptins n its wn prgrammes fr students wh have successfully cmpleted WMG mdules; sme students take advantage f this t cmplete tw master s degrees within a mnth perid. Hw is the curse delivered and by wh by? Each mdule cmprises ne week f intensive full-day instructin t be fllwed by a wrd assignment t be cmpleted within 6 weeks f the end f the mdule. The nine assignments cunt fr 50% f the verall curse grade. The prject which yu start wrk n at the beginning f the curse is apprximately 15,000-20,000 wrds. The prject cunts fr 50% f the final grade fr the MSC. The mdules are delivered jintly by WMG staff wh cme t EMU fr the intensive week alng with specialists at EMU. Yu will als have a prject and curse supervisr at EMU.

4 What are the mdules? Bth prgrammes have the same mdules; the majr difference between the tw prgrammes will be in the prject area yu select. As part f yur curse fee yu are entitled t take tw mdules in anther WMG Centre, including the UK Centre, at n extra cst; yu wuld f curse be respnsible fr any extra expenses ccurred (e.g. transprtatin, visas, accmmdatin etc.) Attendance WMG maintains very high standards in this regard. Full attendance is required and expected. Enrlment The prgramme nrmally begins in September, but it is pssible t enrll as a part-time student at ther times f the year. Is it pssible t attend part f the prgramme? Successful cmpletin f 3 mdules entitles yu t a WMG Pstgraduate Award. Successful cmpletin f 6 mdules entitles yu t a WMG Pstgraduate Certificate. Successful cmpletin f 6 mdules and prject entitles yu t a WMG Pstgraduate Diplma Registratin fr individual mdules is als pssible, dependent n qualificatins and space.

6 Eastern Mediterranean University Pstgraduate Certificate in English Language and Management Skills What is the Certificate Prgramme? The English Language and Management Skills Certificate Prgramme has been apprved by WMG as a feeder r fundatin prgramme fr the University f Warwick WMG MSc prgramme. It can als be taken as an independent r supplementary qualificatin n either a full-time r part-time basis. What is the Certificate Prgramme? Yu will have cmpleted an undergraduate degree. Yu shuld nrmally have a minimum CGPA f 2.3 r secnd class hnurs degree, and a prven level f English at IELTS 6.0 level (EMU English Language Prficiency 60%); relevant wrk experience will als be taken int cnsideratin in yur applicatin Hw lng des the Certificate Prgramme take t cmplete? The full certificate prgramme cmprises six mdules, and it is pssible t cmplete it in 12 weeks, i.e. in ne academic semester. What are the mdules? The certificate cmprises six mdules: English fr IELTS Advanced Academic Writing Academic Presentatin Skills WMG Research Methds and Study Skills WMG Cntext f a Business Prject Mdule Is it pssible t attend part f the prgramme? Yes; if yu satisfy entrance requirements, mdules can be taken n an individual r part-time basis. When can we enrl fr the prgramme? Our main intakes fr full-time prgrammes are in September, February and June. Hw is the certificate awarded? The prgramme has an integrated assessment system, requiring yu t: a) achieve 6.5 n IELTS r 92 n TOEFL ibt b) prduce 2 x 4000 wrd assignments that are marked at EMU and mderated by WMG c) give a minute presentatin n a research tpic.

7 Are there any exemptins frm mdules? a) A 6.5 IELTS r 92 TOEFL ibt exempts yu frm the IELTS prgramme. b) Yu will be exempted frm the Research Methds and Study Skills Curse if yu have taken an equivalent pstgraduate curse in an English medium institutin. c) EMU ENGL 523 and ENGL 525 are equivalent pstgraduate English curses at EMU and cunt twards the award f the certificate.
