2 New to 215 the London Nurse Show (LNS) is launching to bring together nurses working in secondary care across all therapy areas. Through our media partner the British Journal of Nursing (BJN) we have surveyed the BJN readers identifying the most important clinical, policy and educational needs of nurses working in the capital. LNS will be a two day free to attend bespoke event for registered nurses with student sessions available for the second half of day two.

3 Keynote address and policy debate Launching the show will be a keynote address and policy debate between the three main electoral parties. Each given 15 minutes to outline their healthcare policy and effect on nursing, followed by a debate using your questions! With the general election only two months away it will be key that nurses voices are heard. LNS gives the perfect platform to speak directly to government ensuring that in 215 major issues that affect nursing are not avoided for another term. Topics covered as part of these sessions will include procurement, legal and ethics, misconduct, whistleblowing, pay and conditions, recruitment banding and career progression.

4 Conference Clinical sessions covering key therapy areas will be running all day. These sessions aim to champion best practice and discuss new advances in medicine. Conference topics covered will include, but be not restricted to: Oncology Cardiology Stroke Urology IV care Palliative care Renal nursing Pressure ulcer prevention Mental Health Student sessions After lunch on day two the LNS will be open to students. The opportunity for nurses of the future to interact with exhibitors and also attend dedicated sessions on: Making the most of your placement Writing essays How to apply for grants Post-graduation Workshops Interactive learning sessions will be available to delegates. Using a less formal environment than the conference sessions, delegates will be invited to engage in new ways of learning in more practical applications giving the opportunity to interact with other nurses on the issues faced in practice. Workshop topics covered will include, but not be restricted to: Wound assessment Stoma care Catheterisation IV and pic lines Enteral/parenteral feeding Skin care and emollients Pressure ulcer prevention
