1 The Patron Experience in Axis 360 While searching through your OPAC (online catalog) for a book, you will see that your online catalog now contains Axis 360 ebooks. After you click on the title and open it up to see the details, you can scroll down and click on the hyperlink that will take you over to your library s Axis 360 website which has more detailed information about that specific ebook. Within Axis 360 you can seee the title, author, publication date, copies owned, copies available and the 1 to 5 star rating system where other patrons have rated the book. Near the center of the display are two tabs, once for Details and one for Reviews. The Details tab will have subject headings, other details about the title, and a synopsis of the title, if onee is available.

2 The Reviews tab will have industry reviews, such as Library Journal and School Library Journal. If you look at the bottom of the reviews there may be reviews of this material by other patrons, the same ones who assigned 1 to 5 stars for the ebook.

3 You may add the book to your checkout list by clicking on the button Add to Checkout List. This will give you 15 minutes to continue your browsing and then finish your checkout. (You also have the option to click on Checkout Now which will give you thee checkout experience immediately.)

4 When you are ready to checkout the items in your checkout list, go to the top right hand corner of the Axis 360 screen and click on the shopping cart. This will bring you to a screen where your items are ready to be checked out. You will notice that there is a sliding bar under Lending Period so that if you don t want to checkout the ebook for the maximum lending period, you may slide the bar up and down and select the number of days you wish to checkout the material. Then clickk on Confirm Checkout to finalize your checkout of the ebook.

5 If you haven t already logged into Axis 360 as a library user, now a screen will appear wheree you will have the chance to login with your Patron ID and Pin number. If you are logging in for the first time in Axis 360, you will be offered the chance to create your account with your Patron ID, Pin and register the address to which your ebook will be delivered to your Blio account.

6 Then a Blio Login screen will appear where you will enter your address and password that are associated with your Blio account.

7 If you don t have a Blio account, you may click on thee words, Create a New Blio Account to create a new account so that your ebook will be in the Blio cloud until you downloadd it to your device. Then click on Login or Create, and the Axis 360 ebookk will be placed into the Blio cloud ready for you to download to your device.

8 Next you will see a screen that tells you that you have successfully checked out the title.

9 The last screen you see in Axis 360 will confirm the ebook you ve just checked out and tell you the length of time for which you have borrowed the ebook.

10 In order to read your ebook, you must first downloadd the Blio appp on your device by going to to download the free app. If you are using an Apple ios device go to the Apple store, and for an Android device, go to the Android marketplace.)

11 Once Blio is installed on your device, be sure to login with your address and password in order to see your ebooks.

12 Then when Blio opens, click on Click to Sync with Book Vault on the top left side of the page. Your newly checked out ebook will appear on your Blio bookshelf with a small star on the cover. Click on the ebook and an arrow will appear to prompt you to thenn download the ebook onto your bookshelf so that you may begin reading.

13 Now click on your ebook to open it and begin reading!
