3 1. Introduction to AiData 1.1 Introduction to AiData AiData allows you to intuitively browse and manage the files on your NAS from the convenience of your phone or tablet device. AiData also incorporates well-known cloud storage services allowing users to manage all the files on their NAS and across the cloud. AiData is available for both ios and Android tablets and smartphones. AiData can be downloaded and installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 3

4 2. Using AiData 2.1 Using AiData to connect to your NAS STEP 1 Open AiData and then select the [+] icon in the upper left-hand corner. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 4

5 STEP 2 Select a method of your choice to connect to your NAS: a. Connect via Cloud ID: Appropriate for use with a NAS that has already configured a Cloud ID. b. Connect via Host/IP: Appropriate for use with a NAS that is using a static IP or hostname. c. Auto Discovery: Automatically searches and connects to NAS devices on the same local network. STEP 3 Enter the connection information for your NAS and then select the Login button on the upper righthand corner. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 5

6 STEP 4 After successfully logging in, you should see a screen similar to the one in the graphic below. 2.2 Using AiData to connect to your cloud storage STEP 1 Open AiData and then select the [+] icon in the upper left-hand corner. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 6

7 STEP 2 Select the cloud storage service that you would like to connect to. At this time, a window should pop up, prompting you to allow AiData to access all data in your chosen cloud storage service. Select Allow. Note: Each cloud storage service only allows for one account to log in. Note 2: Certain cloud storage services shown in the graphic below may not be currently available on AiData but will become available at a later date. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 7

8 STEP 3 The newly added connection records will be added to the list. After selecting it, you will be able to log in. After successfully logging in, you should see a screen similar to the one in the graphic below. You will now be able to manage and access your data in the cloud with AiData. 9 3. Managing Your Files 3.1 Opening and browsing files from your NAS and cloud storage STEP 1 Selecting the file of your choice will allow you to immediately preview it. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 9

10 STEP 2 You can also create Share Links for files and share them via , open files in third party applications or print documents via Air Print. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 10

11 3.2 Downloading files to your mobile device STEP 1 To download files, first, select the Edit icon in the upper right-hand corner and then select the files you wish to download. You can also select the icon in the upper left-hand corner to select all files. After selecting the files you can then select the [Download] icon in the bottom left-hand corner to download your files. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 11

12 STEP 2 The [Activity] page should now show up and you should be able to see the status of your downloads. If you wish to view downloaded files, navigate to the [Favorite] page. The maximum capacity for downloads stored in the Favorite section is by default 2GB. You can view the [Settings] page to modify this and to check the current amount of capacity used. 13 3.3 Uploading files to your NAS or cloud storage STEP 1 First navigate to the location you wish to upload files to. Select the Edit icon in the top righthand corner and then select the upload button at the bottom of the screen. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 13

14 STEP 2 Select the location of the file you wish to upload. Select the file you wish to upload and then select [Done]. The [Activity] page should now pop up showing you the status of your uploads. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 14

15 3.4 Sharing files via Swipe across the file that you wish to share and then select the icon from the toolbar that appears. Next, enter the address that you would like to share the file to. A Share Link will then be sent to that address. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 15

16 3.5 Cross-cloud data management AiData lets you manage data from multiple NAS devices and cloud storage services. AiData also lets you quickly switch between storage space and copy files from one storage space to another. Once you have added multiple NAS devices and cloud storage services to the list in AiData, you will be able to switch between them by selecting the cloud icon. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 16

17 If you wish to copy files between different storage spaces, first swipe on the file of your choice and then select the copy icon from the toolbar that appears. Next, select the location that you would like to copy the file to. Select [choose] to confirm the location you would like to copy to. The [Activity] page should then pop up, showing you the status of your copied files. A S U S T O R C O L L E G E / 17
