1 District 211 Technology ipad Setup Instructions

2 Turn power on & Start Setup Hold down the power button to turn on your ipad. The power button is located on the top right edge of the ipad. Slide the slider to start the setup process.

3 Language Selection Verify that English is the selected Language, then tap the arrow located at the top right corner of the screen.

4 Country or Region Selection Verify that United States is the selected Country or Region, then tap Next located at the top right corner of the screen.

5 Wi-Fi Access When the network list appears select GUEST211 from the list. Once it is connected tap Next located at the top right corner of the screen.

6 Location Services Select Enable Location Services from the list and then tap Next located at the top right corner of the screen.

7 Set Up ipad Verify that Set Up as New ipad is selected and then tap Next located at the top right corner of the screen.

8 Apple ID If you already have an Apple ID: 1. Select Sign in with Apple ID 2. Enter Apple ID & Password 3. Tap Next at the top right corner of the screen. 4. Tap the Agree button at the bottom right corner of the screen. 5. Tap Agree on the popup box. 6. Select Use icloud 7. Tap Next at the top right corner of the screen. 8. Select Back Up to icloud. 9. Tap Next at the top right corner of the screen. 10. Select Use Find My ipad. 11. Tap Next at the top right corner of the screen. 12. Select Don t Send and tap Next at the top right corner of the screen. 13. Tap Start Using ipad.

9 Apple ID If you don t have an Apple ID: 1. Tap the Skip This Step link located at the bottom of the screen. 2. Tap Skip on the popup box. 3. Tap the Agree button at the bottom right corner of the screen. 4. Tap Agree on the popup box. 5. Select Don t Send and tap Next at the top right corner of the screen. 6. Tap Start Using ipad.

10 Create Apple ID Part 1 1. Tap the App Store icon. 2. Tap the Close button at the top right corner of the Apple Apps download popup box. 3. Select a Free app to download. 4. Select Create New Apple ID 5. Verify Country and tap Next. 6. Scroll to bottom of Agreement and tap the Agree button. 7. Tap Agree on the popup box. 8. Enter a valid address. 9. Enter a password. 10. Enter all of the requested information. 11. Tap the next button when done. 12. Select None for payment method. 13. Enter all of the requested billing information. 14. Tap the Next button when done. 15. Tap the Done button. 16. Press the Home button.

11 Create Apple ID Part 2 1. Check your for the account used to create your Apple ID. 2. Visit the link provided in the from Apple to verify your Apple ID. 3. Press the home button. 4. Tap the Settings icon. 5. Tap on itunes & App Stores. 6. Enter your Apple ID & Password. 7. Tap Sign In. 8. Once you are signed in tap on icloud. 9. Enter your Password and tap Sign In. 10. Tap OK on the icloud location popup box. 11. Tap Home button.

12 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT 1. Type SMM in the search box. 2. Tap the Free button next to Symantec Mobile Management Agent. 3. Tap the Install App button.

13 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT The app will start to download and you may be asked to enter your password again. Press the home button and wait for app install to complete.

14 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT 1. Tap the Symantec Mobile MGMT icon. 2. Tap OK on the Mobile MGMT popup box. 3. Tap OK on the Mobile MGMT location popup box.

15 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT or 1. Tap the Enroll button 2. Tap Accept on the Server Certificate popup box.

16 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT Username: d211\lastname1234 Password: Your computer login password 1. Tap the Enroll button. 2. Tap Accept on the Server Certificate popup box.

17 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT Read and Accept the Electronic Technologies Acceptable Use Agreement. 1. Tap the Accept button.

18 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT 1. Tap Continue on the Server Identity popup box. 2. Tap Install on the MDM Enrollment popup box. 3. Tap Install on the Warning popup box. 4. Tap Done on the Profile popup box. 5. Press the home button.

19 D211 - Symantec Mobile MGMT Tap Continue on the Passcode Requirement popup box. Enter a code that you would like to use to lock your device. It must be at least a four-digit passcode.

20 Wi-Fi Access 1. Tap the Settings icon. 2. Tap Wi-Fi. 3. Tap on StudentOne2One, wait for connection to complete. 4. Tap the blue arrow next to GUEST Tap Forget this network. 6. Tap Forget on the popup box. 7. Press the home button to start using your ipad.

21 Verify icloud Settings 1. Click the Settings icon. 2. Select icloud. 3. Make sure that Find My ipad is turned ON.

22 Install District Featured and Paid Apps 1. Tap the Symantec MGMT icon. 2. Tap the All button. 3. Tap the Install button. 4. Tap OK on the popup box.
