It prvides infrmatin n the wrk f the Australian High Cmmissin, the type f wrk that the successful candidate will be expected t undertake, hw t apply and the recruitment prcess. This is a general recruitment rund. The Australian High Cmmissin, Prt Mresby, is seeking t strengthen its pl f dynamic and experienced prfessinals fr current and future psitins in the Crprate Services Sectin. Nt all these psitins are currently vacant. If yu are fund suitable fr a rle within the Australian High Cmmissin, yu will be placed n a merit list. Fllwing the recruitment and selectin prcesses there will be a separate prcess t place suitable candidates in the right rles. Abut the Australian High Cmmissin in Prt Mresby The Australian High Cmmissin (AHC) represents the Australian Gvernment by advancing the interests f Australia and Australians in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Our primary natinal interest is in a strng bilateral relatinship underpinned by a peaceful, secure and prsperus PNG and Pacific Regin. The High Cmmissin is als respnsible fr apprising Canberra abut develpments in areas such as dmestic plitics, immigratin, ecnmics, trade and investment, culture, defence and develpment cperatin, with a view t infrming Australia s freign plicy. The Australian High Cmmissin prmtes a psitive image f Australia, enhancing peple-t-peple links, and delivering cnsular assistance t Australians in need. Abut the Crprate Services Sectin The rle f the Crprate Services Sectin is t prvide systems, services and advice t supprt the ther activities f the Australia High Cmmissin in PNG. It undertakes the fllwing functins: Finance, Travel, Transprt, Human Resurces, Prperty Infrmatin Technlgy, Prtcl, Cnsular, Transprt, Receptinist and Recrds Management. Abut the Crprate Services rles (LE2-4) Wrk at the Lcally Engaged (LE) levels 2-4 psitins are perfrmed under direct and/r general directin f managers. It is expected that individuals will cntribute t the establishment and attainment f team gals and be accuntable fr the accurate cmpletin f wrk. Within the framewrk f general guidance emplyees at this level shuld use initiative in the undertaking their duties. Emplyees are expected t demnstrate an understanding f their rle within the Australian High Cmmissin s peratins in PNG. Emplyees at the LE 2-4 psitins will prvide administrative supprt t the Australian High Cmmissin s crprate functins. This may include prviding technical supprt in mnitring and maintaining the AHC IT systems, prviding peratinal supprt t the prperty prtfli r establishing and managing infrmatin databases fr AHC recrds and files. The key respnsibilities include but are nt limited t: The respnsibilities f individual psitins will vary but will be drawn frm the fllwing list: Prvide administrative supprt t the delivery f crprate services. This may invlve the preparatin f rutine papers and crrespndence, assisting with preparatin f material fr meetings and assisting with the prvisin f financial management reprts

3 Liaise with internal and external clients/stakehlders n a range f administrative matters Liaise with and educate the AHC staff in crprate services prcesses and prmte cmpliance with plicies and guidelines Prvide administrative and clerical supprt t wrk area and senir emplyees Arrange payment f accunts and the preparatin f financial estimates, maintaining financial recrds and mnitring expenditure Maintain accurate and up-t-date activity data n AHC systems Respnding t internal and/ r external infrmatin enquiries Participate in and cntribute t the develpment, frmulatin and review f crprate pst specific plicies, prgrams and initiatives Use f databases and maintenance f electrnic data n EDRMS Perfrm mnthly/ weekly and ad hc reprts as required Other duties as directed Skills and Qualificatins The skills and qualificatins required fr individual psitins will als vary. The AHC is lking fr peple with the fllwing skills: Apprpriate educatinal r technical qualificatins Demnstrated crprate administratin and management capability including planning, teamwrk, infrmatin technlgy, finance, human resurces, recrds management r prperty management The ability t supprt the attainment f wrk area gals including key perfrmance utcmes, strategic thinking, evaluatin, analysis and innvatin Strng cmmunicatin (bth written and ral) and interpersnal skills Readiness t accept respnsibility Well-develped rganisatin skills and attentin t detail and accuracy Prficiency in PC applicatins including Outlk, Wrd, Excel and PwerPint Eligibility/Other Requirements The successful candidate is required t btain a satisfactry plice check, medical check and maybe required t travel n ccasins.
