2 Dean Randazzo Dean Randazzo was diagnosed with Hodgkin s Lymphoma In 2001, at the peak of his professional surfing career. He created this foundation to raise money and awareness for people battling cancer. Since successfully fighting the disease four times, Dean continues his competitive professional surfing career, proudly representing the Garden State all over the world. He serves as founder of the DRCF. In 1996, Dean Randazzo became the first New Jersey surfer to quality for the ASP World Championship Tour.

3 The Foundation The Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation was created in 2001 to promote cancer awareness within the surfing community and provide financial support to people stricken with cancer as well as their families. The foundation has donated more than $500,000 to individuals and organizations. It is a New Jersey Non Profit and 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax deductible. Our ambition plan wishes to double that over the next five years. Since 2001, the DRCF donated more than $500,000 in grants to individuals and organizations

6 DRCF Event Fundraising Paddlers will create a fundraising page to collect pledges and raise donations for the event. Every paddler must raise at least $200 to participate in the Paddler For A Cause. Paddlers can use Dojiggy, an online fundraising tool, to create a web page for collecting donations. Surf it Forward Surfers will create a sponsorship page and raise money for the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation Surf for a Cause. Surfers find sponsors to promote awareness and raise donations for financial support of people and families in need. The biggest fundraiser will win a custom surfing package. Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation is grateful for surfers and paddlers who are passionate about making a difference.

10 2016 Paddle for a Cause On June 11, 2016, more than 100 paddlers from around the world will compete for $5,275 in prize money in a grueling, 22.5-mile World Paddle Association sanctioned race around Absecon Island. At the 9th annual Paddle For A Cause spectators are welcome, as competitors race toward the finish line at Golden Nugget Atlantic City hotel and casino, to celebrate at a large after party right on the dock. A total of 120 paddlers crossed the finish line at Golden Nugget Marina and raised more than $75,000 in 2014.

11 2016 Surf for a Cause On September 10, 2016 surfers will catch waves and raise money for those affected by cancer at the 16th annual Surf For A Cause. The annual beach reunion includes both local and international surfing legends. The all-ages beach party and surfing competition concludes with an after party just steps from the beach at Ventura s Greenhouse, next to the historical Lucy the Elephant in Margate, New Jersey. The first Surf For A Cause was held in 2001 and the after party barbecue was in Mary Lou Randazzo s backyard.

16 Event Attendance Paddle for a Cause: Surf for a Cause: Registration is completed online. Racers are required to raise a minimum of $200 prior to entry. Registration is completed online. Adult surfers are required to raise a minimum of $50 prior to entry. The open division welcomes outrigger canoes, kayaks, surf skis and teams of paddlers. Surfers will raise a minimum of $10 in funds for each additional division (longboard and SUP) One after party ticket is included per paddler extra tickets may be purchased online for $25. One after party ticket is included per surfer extra tickets may be purchased online for $25. $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third for Men s & Women s SUP and Prone divisions. The presenting sponsor provides the prize money. Contest winners of the Grom Boys and Grom Girls divisions will receive a surfboard created by Wynn Surfboards. All division winners will receive trophies.

17 Fundraising Paddle for a Cause Fundraising Surf For A Cause Fundraising- Surf it Forward Paddlers will create a fundraising page on Dojiggy to raise donations for the event. Surfers can create a sponsorship page on Dojiggy and raise money for the DRCF. Every paddler must raise at least $200 to participate in the Paddle For A Cause. Boys/Girls in Grom division surf free of charge but are also eligible to participate in fundraising. Paddlers in each division will compete in a race for cash prizes. Adult Surfers must raise $50 for entry into the competition ($10 for each additional division) Additional prizes will be awarded to contestants who raise the most funds. Surfers who do not wish to fundraise can simply pay the $50 entry fee and additional $10/division. The top fundraiser will win an overnight stay to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hotel in Florida. The top fundraisers in Adult and Grom Divisions will each receive a prize courtesy of our sponsors.

18 DRCF Membership Support Individual Membership - $100 Business Membership - $500 Membership: Entitles members to additional benefits at the events and discounts from member businesses. Membership and After Party Tickets : 4 Memberships are issued to the business in addition to providing 2 tickets for each event. T-shirt, Towel or Dry Pouch: Become a supporting member of the DRCF and be more attractive on the beach! Listed in foundation business directory: A DRCF business member and sponsor directory will be published to encourage member support. Ticket to the paddle and surf parties: Supporting the DRCF gets you into two awesome parties and includes a free registration to Surf. DRCF flag to fly at your business: We provide organizations with a DRCF flag to hang at their place of business to show support. A business and sponsor directory will be published online and offline to encourage member support.

19 Spirit Sponsors Honor Someone On Our Spirit Board - $50 The Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation was created to help people with cancer and their families through financial grants during that incredibly difficult time. We have created an the opportunity to become part of the spirit board to honor the memory of a family member or loved one. $50 reserves a space on the spirit board. Our Spirit Sponsorships are also utilized by people who are honoring survivors.

20 Why donate to the DRCF? More than 90 percent of funds raised by the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation are awarded directly to individuals with cancer as well local cancer centers. All board members are volunteers. Grant recipients include: Shore Medical Center, Gilda s Club, Ruth Newman Shapiro fund, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Jersey, Cape Regional and AtlantiCare cancer centers.
