2 The Course History THE GOLF COURSE Tomojiro Maruyama, a Japanese Golf Course Architect, was engaged by MID (the original owners) to design the Resort's 27-hole course which was opened in In April 1996, a fourth 'gold' nine was officially opened at Royal Pines and completed the Resort's West course. In early 2002 the West Course was closed and preparations began for a new nine-hole course. The new nine holes were designed by Graham Marsh Golf Design. This saw the Resort move back to a 27-hole composite course, with the evolution of the course names, Binnowee, Wangara and Aroona. After RACV purchased the 27 Hole Golf Course in September 2008, a decision was made to move back to the traditional golf course operation, by re-naming the 3 courses with the colours GOLD, GREEN and BLUE. 6 COURSE FACTS Bunkers Each 9-Hole Course at Royal Pines Resort has 31 Bunkers. Grass Species The Grass on the golf course is Couch Grass with the following varieties of the species: - Greens Bermuda Tees Winter Green - Fairways Winter Green - Roughs Greenless Park Course Records - Gold Combination: o Men Adam Crawford had 63 off the Championship Tee playing in the Hi- Lite Pro Am Tournament o Ladies Karrie Webb had 62 off the Championship Tee in 2005 ANZ Ladies Masters and Kristie Smith equalled this in the 2 nd Round of the 2009 ANZ Ladies Masters. o Scott Draper shot 61 during the First Round of the 2008 Audi 4-Ball Pro-Am Championship off a mixed tee position. Golf Carts We have a fleet of 110 E-Z-GO Freedom Model Golf Carts with iced eskies. All carts are also fitted with pull-down rain covers and sand bottles. All carts seat a maximum of 2 golfers each. Refreshment Carts The Golf Course has 2 refreshment carts that operate on a rotation over the 27 holes. The carts typically start daily from 7:30am, however they are rostered according to business. Hire Equipment At the beginning of 2009, RACV Royal Pines Resort purchased 50 brand new sets of Callaway X22 Golf Clubs for Hire. The hire sets will be available from July 1 st 2009, for $50.00 per set for 18 holes of golf and $25 per set for 9 holes of golf (subject to availability). The Resort also has golf shoes available for hire at $11 a pair.

7 DRIVING RANGE Our Golf Driving Range is open daily for your guests to enjoy a warm-up prior to hit off. Driving Range Prices are as follows: - Large (90 balls) - $14.00 per bucket - Small (45 balls) - $ per bucket All Golf and Auto Club members receive Half Price Range Balls. Lessons range from individual tuition, on course analysis, women, juniors and men s clinics. The Teaching Team can tailor any tuition to meet the Guests or Clients needs. Richard is an experienced coach and is passionate about coaching golfers of all abilities from beginners to elite students. Loic Truet Teaching Professional Mobile: Loic Truet has been involved in the game of golf since a very early age, both in Australia and abroad. Born in New Caledonia, Loic is fluent in two languages, English and French. He also played on the European Amateur Circuit for over four years where he enjoyed some success. Loic went on to complete a traineeship at Emerald Lakes Golf Club in His enthusiasm and passion for coaching drives his desire to continue to learn and deliver. Developing the abilities of his students is his number one priority. His friendly and passionate natures make him a popular teacher.

8 Professional Tournaments EVENTS & TOURNAMENTS RACV Royal Pines Resort is the home to several tournaments held throughout the year: - ANZ Ladies Masters: This International tournament was first held at Royal Pines Resort in saw the celebration of the 20 th Anniversary of the event, with Katherine Hull the winner with a score of 16 under par for the tournament. - Audi 4-Ball Pro-Am Championship: This Annual Pro-Am tournament is a 72 hole event played over 4 days and has been held at Royal Pines since it s inception in Callaway Hi-Lite Pro-Am: 2009 will be the 17 th Year this event has been held. A 2-day Pro-Am held at 2 courses with Royal Pines being the host venue for Accommodation and Functions as well. Other Golf Events/Tournaments A number of other noteworthy Golf Events and Tournaments are held throughout the year at RACV Royal Pines Resort, these being: - 60 th Annual Australian Chemists Golf Carnival - 30 th Australian International Senior Golf Championships - Perry Cross Foundation Charity Golf Day - Lexus Club & Racquet Challenge - Inaugural PGA Coca Cola Invitational National Final - Greg Norman Golf Foundation Junior Classic - TSS Foundation Golf Day - GolfLink Challenge - World Transplant Games 2009 Golf Tournament Queensland Schools Golf Championship Members/Resort Events The Resort has a number of events that are run specifically for our members and guests. These include: - Saturday Members & Open Competition: Open to Members and Guests with a Handicap. Members Only Tee times are reserved from 6:32am 8:32am. - Monthly Medal and Other Honour Board Events (Members Only) - Royal Pines Resort Challenge: Held every week on a Tuesday, the Challenge is a weekly Competition open to all male & female golfers with an official handicap. - Birdies Day Out: A Ladies Only event held Quarterly, which includes 18 holes of golf on our championship golf course and a two course gourmet luncheon including a glass of sparkling wine.

9 TENNIS COURTS RACV Royal Pines Resort has 5 Tennis Courts that are available daily from 6:30am 11pm for use by Public, Residents and Hotel Guests. There are 2 Undercover Tennis Courts and 3 Outdoor Courts available for hire at the following hourly rates: Public Rates Outdoor Day - $16 per hour Outdoor Night - $18 per hour Indoor Day - $18 per hour Indoor Night - $22 per hour Hotel Guests/Residents Rates Outdoor Day - $13 per hour Outdoor Night - $15 per hour Indoor Day - $15 per hour Indoor Night - $19 per hour Pre-Paid 10-Hour Tennis Court Hire Card Outdoor Day - $125 Outdoor Night - $140 Indoor Day - $140 Indoor Night - $175 Pro Experience Tennis Pro Experience Tennis is located at RACV Royal Pines Resort and is run by Roger Tyzzer, former Head Coach of the South Australian Sports Institute. Roger and his team of Tennis Coaches, offer a range of Tennis Programs to suit all ages and skill levels as well as adult and junior clinics, private lessons, holiday camps and Pee Wee programs.
