1 Costa Navarino and The Navarino present the first Junior Golf Camp in Greece! Junior Golf Camp is an entertaining, sports orientated programme targeted towards children between 8 to 17 years of age who will be introduced to the exciting sport of golf and receive the opportunity to be some of the first to learn what makes golf such a globally loved sport, all in just 5 days. At the end of the programme a special Golf Camp Certificate will be awarded to all participants. The fully equipped Navarino and our professional multilingual staff are here to provide quality instruction for your children at our world class practice facility including Driving Range, Short Game Area (regarded as one of the biggest in Europe), Putting Green and Indoor Simulator. During the day, our young participants will also engage in a wide range of tailor made sporting and cultural activities, encouraging them to discover the rich history and traditions of SW Peloponnese and experience the unique landscape of the region. Costa Navarino is a perfect destination for children and teenagers, clearly evident in the wide range of sports and entertainment options available including ten-pin bowling, exhilarating water park with slides, full size indoor basketball court, tennis courts and other attractions. The facilities offered by our Cocoon & Sandcastle are specifically designed for children and presented in a unique architecture inspired by local elements such as sand dunes. They offer exciting age specific activities as well as overnight stay options. The Junior Golf Camp offers two accommodation options in the package. Children can either stay with their parents at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino or at the unique Sandcastle facility under the supervision of our experienced and trained personnel from Worldwide Kids Company, the leading international company in professional child care. 2 Why Golf? GOLF PROVIDES EXERCISE When a child walks the entire Dunes golf course, is walking approximately 8km. This walking alone is an excellent exercise. It would even be better if you let them carry their own golf bag for added resistance, which helps build strength. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY Unlike other sports played under the close watch of a referee or an umpire, golf requires you to assess penalties upon yourself. You even keep your own score. Building this level of integrity is unheard of in other sports. CONVEYS DISCIPLINE Children learn that in order to improve their golf game, they must practice more. Without them even realizing it, it teaches them discipline. IMPROVES THEIR CONCENTRATION & DECISION MAKING You have to study each shot, read the greens and make a decision on how to hit the ball from almost every possible location. It also helps them visualize situations and improves their concentration. SHOWS THEM HOW TO APPRECIATE THE ENVIRONMENT While walking the golf course, children will also be able to enjoy being outdoors. This helps to instill a love of nature among them and teaches them to be more responsible towards the environment.
