1 Web Class Configuration and Test Guide Web class visual material is accessed via your web browser via the URL provided for each web class. The new Engage web class system supports most operating systems: Internet Explorer on Windows, Safari on MacOS and FireFox on Unix. To ensure you are properly setup, a one-time test has been set up for you to ensure your computer is properly configured. I recommend that you print out these instructions and have them with you as you go through the setup Step 1 The first step to connect to the web class is to select the URL provided in the invitation. For now, let s use the test site. Please click on the following link: Step 2 Next, unless you have previously installed the LiveMeeting software, you will then be presented with two options to connect: Option #1 - Install Office Live Meeting Client This option for accessing the web class provides you with better graphics and more capabilities to interact with Colleen. It is the preferable way to attend the class but it does require you to install software so it may not be the right option for those that don t have rights to install software or don t have the ten minutes or so that it will take to download and run. Once installed, you won t have to do anything else again when attending a subsequent web class. This option is only available for Windows users. Option #2 - Use Live Meeting Web Access If you don t have time or permission to install software, this is a great option. Using Java technology, this allows you to access the web class in just a couple of minutes but without the same quality of graphics and less a few interactivity features. If you would like to use this option, you will need to do so each time you access a web class. This is the only option available for Mac users. Simply click on the information bar and select Download File. Complete your information, including and Company Name. Then, select Continue. You will be then connected to the web class and should see the Congratulations slide. Page 3 of 5

4 Configuration Steps for Option #2 You will next be prompted to enter your name. This will be visible to Colleen. The Meeting ID and Entry Code are filled automatically. Simply click on the Join Meeting when you are ready to proceed. You may have a pop-up blocker enabled. If so, you will see this message. You will need to turn off popup blocking for this site. An example of doing this is shown below. The first time you run this Option, you will need to run a special plug-in for your web browser. Simply click Run. Page 4 of 5

5 Configuration Steps for Option #2 Complete your information, including and Company Name. Then, select Continue. You will be then connected to the web class and should see the Congratulations slide.
