3 1. Hardware /software This solution needs several modules in order to run FEDICT middleware for EID reading Sun java runtime in your browser Smartcard reader with request drivers. 3

4 2. Software verification You can test the installation of the EID reading with the FEDICT website. By surfing on you will check if your computer installation is up- to- date and all the needed software is installed. You should use on Windows : Internet Explorer or Firefox Mac OSX : Firefox 2.1 installing the EID reader middleware a. Download the eid middleware component on the FEDICT website Surf on Choose your operating system and download the software b. Install the software Launch the downloaded file and follow the instructions BE CAREFUL: your reader should not be connected before asked by the installation tool a. Click on Yes 4

7 d. When asked, connect your smartcard reader and introduce the EID Card or 7

Java runtime installation In order to test if you browser is installed with the last version of the Java Runtime, navigate on Click on the button Verify Java version If you have the latest version of Java runtime you will receive the following message. Otherwise, you should upgrade the Java runtime version. This procedure is described below. In case of older version or no version of Java runtime, please follow the next step. 1. Click on download Java now 9

13 6.a if you have out- of- date Java runtime version, you will have this screen, click on uninstall 6.b you will receive a confirmation of out- of- date version uninstallation 13

15 3. EID pictures collection for KBHB - ARBH membership Surf on Following the process, the member picture will be transfered to a secured server in order to produce the ARBH- KBHB Membership card. You should enter - Member number of ARBH - KBHB linked with the EID card - The club name of the member. - his/her address All the data between your browser and the server is encrypted by a SSL certificate You should use on Windows : Internet Explorer or Firefox Mac OSX : Firefox Configuration for first use 1. Java popup aknowledge By surfing on the website and launching the picture collection of your members, you should first accept the java plugin from ARBH - KBHB collection tools. In Firefox You should acknowledge the java plugin launch by choosing the following option ( by clicking on the red flag on the address bar) you should choose to allow the plug- in 15

16 And confirm by clicking on OK Now your browser will have access to the EID information In Internet explorer You will receive the below windows requesting to allow the Java plug in By clicking on allow, you will grant permission to read the EID card. 16
