Holds a Bachelor of Law from Rio de Janeiro State University, specialized in Business Management at Harvard Business School. Has vast experience with strategic roles in the public sector. During 1999 and 2000, worked as Chief Advisor at the National Congress and from 2001 to 2004 was Deputy Mayor of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Between 2005 and 2008 was a member of the City Council where he was part of the Fiscal Policy Commission and during the period from 2006 to 2007 was also Secretary of Labor.
