3 4. REGISTRATION AND PRICES You can register through the website of UAEJJF Deadline: November 29, Check date: November 30, (no changes will be accepted after this date). Refund policy: The registration fee is non-refundable. Exemption: Athletes who are alone in their bracket are eligible receive a full refund of the registration fee if they contact registrations@uaejjf.org and request withdraw their name from the competition prior the end of the appointed event registration check day. If you are alone in your bracket, you can contact registrations@uaejjf.org up until the day before registration check day and request a change on your registration; UAEJJF does not guarantee that the division you want be moved will have another competir at the day of the event. Prices: Until Ocber 30th - USD $30. From Ocber 31st November 29th - USD $40. All participants should also become a member of UAEJJF, for the price of USD $25. 5 Rio de Janeiro 5. LAND TRANSPORT Competirs and visirs HSBC Arena may hire shuttle vans, rental cars, or taxis from local airports for a fee. For more information, consult a transportation representative at your arrival airport. CHECK IN Check-in is the first process the fighters will do when they arrive at the urnament, a basic summary of the identification process is below: Passport or valid ID Verification After finishing the CHECK IN, the fighters are allowed proceed the weight in. 7. WEIGH-IN Weigh in will be held with the Gi. Athletes may only weigh in and fight if they are carrying a pho ID otherwise the athlete will be disqualified. If you don t come the weigh-in ( check weight) you will be aumatically disqualified. The schedule of the weigh in will be announced on the UAEJJF website. For you convenience, you have two options weigh-in: PRE DATE WEIGH IN Date: December 4th 2015 (one day before the event) Place: Novotel - Address: Av. 6 8. KIMONO CHECK Kimono Check will be held right before your match. Only white, blue, and black Gis are allowed. We strongly recommend bringing more than one Gi in case one get damaged during the match. 8. COACHES Coaches will NOT be allowed in the fighting area on the first floor. 9. RULES MEETING UAEJJF rules will be used in this event. Please check for rule details at the UAEJJF website: There will be a rule meeting held by the Official Head Referee from UAEJJF. 9 13. LIABILITY The organizer of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, Rio de Janeiro 2015, the BJJF, and UAEJJF will not be responsible for any physical or material damage of any competir. The organizer of the Grand Slam Los. Angeles 2015, the BJJF, and UAEJJF has no liability for any claims of material damage or loss, injury, illness or death arising during the participation and traveling in connection with these events. 14. VISA Athletes who need Visa for Brazil, please consult the Consulate or Embassy of the Brazil of your country. 15. RIO DE JANEIRO SIGHTSEEING PÃO DE AÇUCAR The Sugarloaf urist complex was built by the Companhia Caminho Aéreo Pão de Açúcar which still operates and maintains it. Every year more than six hundred thousand people are taken Christ the Redeemer's statue through the almost hundred-year-old Corcovado's Railway the oldest urist excursion in the country. COPACABANA Copacabana is an upscale neighborhood located in the south of the city of Rio de Janeiro Brazil. It is considered one of the most famous and prestigious neighborhoods in Brazil and one of the best known in the world. It has the nickname Princess of the Sea of the South Zone and heart. It borders the neighborhoods also noble da Lagoa Ipanema Botafogo and Rudder. Copacabana attracts a large number of urists its more than eighty hotels which are especially full during times of New Year and Carnival. At year end the traditional fireworks display at Copacabana Beach attracts a crowd of people.
