2 HISTORY When The Matrix was opened in 1965 it became the place for the famous bands of the 1960 s in San Francisco, bridging folk and psychedelic rock. Everyone played there: The Grateful Dead, Big Brother and the Holding Company (with singer Janis Joplin), Quicksilver Messenger Service, Sopwith Camel, Country Joe and the Fish, Steve Miller Band (and later Boz Scaggs solo), Steppenwolf (then called Sparrow), The Doors (who produced a 4 album set from their 5 appearances in March 1967), The Chambers Brothers, Electric Flag, Santana, It s A Beautiful Day, New Riders of the Purple Sage and Bruce Springsteen (in his San Francisco debut with Steel Mill). The Matrix closed in 1972 and reopened as MatrixFillmore in 2001.

5 CATERING SERVICES We specialize in unique, innovative and eco-conscious events serving the San Francisco Bay Area. PlumpJack delivers the same warm hospitality that so many have enjoyed at our diverse collection of lifestyle businesses. We provide hors d oeuvres, staffing and rental coordination, whether an intimate gathering or an elaborate celebration. Our dedicated and professional staff will deliver a customized experience based on your needs and desires. Custom menus can be created for any group size, and sample menus are available upon request. While PlumpJack Catering is our preferred vendor, we do allow our clients to utilize their own catering team ($400 outside catering charge will apply). 6 VENUE RENTAL & SITE FEE Non-operating hours (8am - 8pm): Starting at $500 Operating hours (8pm - 2am): Starting at $1,500 Please call Catering & Special Events Manager to discuss a full venue buyout or renting out the backroom during operating hours. All site fees include: Lounge Space, Event Manager, Security Staff and Cleaning Crew. All prices are subject to beverage minimums, applicable sales tax and 20% service charge. Please note A/V is available for an additional $350. PACKAGES After Work Package: $500 One hour (venue rental may apply) Open bar: beer, wine & well Wristbands provided Up to 20 guests Birthday Package: $700 Two bottles (choice of select bottles) VIP bottle service, line privileges Cupcakes provided Up to 12 guests Bachelor/ Bachelorette Package: $600 One bottle (choice of select bottles) One bottle of champagne (choice of select bottles) VIP bottle service, line privileges Up to 12 guests Additional packages including wedding showers, wedding receptions, baby showers and graduation parties are available.
