1 Information for Accredited Media Welcome to the HSBC FEI EUROPEAN EVENTING CHAMPIONSHIPS Malmö, 29th Aug - 1st Sep 2013 The Organising Committee of the HSBC FEI European Eventing Championships 2013 in Malmö is looking forward to welcoming you in Sweden s southernmost province. The view over the water towards Denmark, the Öresunds Bridge and the Turning Torso will prove a magnificent backdrop to the competition. In 2012, Malmö saw over 40,000 people on Cross Country day and we expect to welcome even more this year. We are looking forward to four days of exciting competition and to presenting the medals to the 2013 European Champions on 1st September.

2 Opening hours Accreditation Pick up your accreditation badge at the Accreditation Office. (See 1 on the map). To facilitate the accreditation process we would appreciate if you could send a portrait photograph to Birgitta Hjertberg (Birgitta.Hjertberg@malmo.se) as soon as possible. Entrance to Press Centre (2) is through the Expo Area. The Press Centre The Press Centre and the Press Tribune are situated next to the Warm up Arena and Main Arena. The Press Room will include work stations for reporters and photographers and there will be broadband and wifi access. On Cross Country day a dedicated Press Centre will be set up in the Cross Country course area. The sub-press office will not be fully equipped and media are advised that there will be no electricity or work stations. The subpress office will have catering and toilets. The Press Centre will be open from Wednesday August 28. Wednesday August 28 10:00-18:00 Thursday August 29 9:00-20:00 Friday August 30 9:00-20:00 Saturday August 31 8:00-20:00 (dedicated Press Centre on Cross Country Course open until last rider finishes) Sunday September 1 7:30-until after last rider finishes Press Conferences Press Conferences will be held each day after the competition in the Press Centre. If you need assistance in meeting with the Chef d Equipes/riders for interviews there will be a request form at the Press Centre desk. Coffee, tea, beverages, sandwiches and snacks will be available in the Press Centre. Lunch coupons are also available for the restaurant in the Expo Arena (you will have access to the fast track lane). Photographers All photographers must wear a bib, available from the Press Room with a deposit of SEK 100. Specially designated areas for photographers will be organized at specific fences and on the Jumping course. Mixed Zones There will be a Mixed Zone close to the Press Centre for Dressage and Jumping. On Cross Country Day a temporary Mixed Zone will be set up close to the Finish. Photo Kit Houghton

Parking Permits Those who have applied for a parking permit in advance will receive the permit by post. Additional parking permits will be available in the Press Centre. The parking area is 5 minutes walk to the Press Centre. Please note Use of video cameras for professional and/or commercial use is not permitted in any competition areas/arenas (including warm-up & on the cross country course) and the press conference without specific broadcast accreditation. Such accreditation must be applied for via the Press Officer. Any video recordings for any broadcast purposes (including internet & mobile) must be approved in advance by the Press Officer via the above mentioned acceditation process. Non-rights holders will be allowed to record in special designated areas only. Publishing of any video recordings (including on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.) without prior written approval/rights clearance is fordbidden.

4 How to get to Malmö and HSBC FEI European Eventing Championships 2013 By plane Airports: Sturup, Malmö (SWE), or Kastrup, Copenhagen (DEN). From Sturup, take the airport bus to Malmö City. From Kastrup, take the train to Malmö Central Station. By car GPS lat: long: Google maps: Ribersborgstranden Parking There is dedicated parking for media (make your application in advance, or apply at the Press Centre on arrival see Parking Permits section). Media Hotels and Shuttle Radisson Blu Hotel in Malmo, Sweden, Address: Ostergatan 10, S Malmö, Sweden, telephone: Comfort Hotel Malmo, in Malmo, Sweden, Address: Carlsgatan 10 C, Malmö, Sweden, telephone: There will be a shuttle service operating between the Radisson Blu, the Comfort Hotel and the Showground Thursday-Sunday. The shuttle leaves Radisson Blu 1.5 hours before the competion starts and then stops at the Comfort Hotel before going to the showground. The shuttle then leaves the showground 1.5 hour after the competition finishes, stopping first at the Comfort Hotel and then the Radisson Blu. On Saturday (Cross Country Day) the shuttle leaves Radisson Blu 2 hours before the competition starts, calling at the Comfort Hotel before heading to the showground.
