PRACTISING On Wednesday October 15 th afternoon (14:00 to 19:00h), it will be possible to practise on the 5 main courts in the hall Omnisport! Please make your reservation upon arriving at the reception desk. Practising during the whole event will be in a side hall. GENERAL The tournament will be played in accordance with the Laws of Badminton and the Competition regulations of the BWF. 3 REFEREE REFEREE DEPUTY Jochen HEUMOS, , Monique BASTIEN, , ELIGIBILITY Participation is open to players of any National Association recognized by the BWF. ENTRIES Regulation 9.5 Please use the online entry and no late entries will be accepted. Singles main draw: 32 Doubles main draw: 32 Mixed main draw: 32 Closing date is 23 September All entries must be made using the BWF Online Entry System: Entries must be submitted no later than Tuesday September 23 rd 2014 at 23:59 BWF HQ time (GMT +08:00). Players cannot be entered unless they already have a BWF IDnumber. In case you wish to enter players who do not have a BWF ID-number, please contact the BWF office well in advance of the tournament, so that the players concerned can get a BWF ID before the closing date of the tournament. Players shall not plan their departure less than two (2) hours after their last match is planned to conclude. If a player is unable to compete due to early departure, he/she may be penalised by removal of ranking points and return of awarded prizes. BADMINTON EUROPE shall propose to BWF that the gained BWF ranking points are also removed. ENTRY FEES Singles: EUR / CHF Doubles: EUR / CHF per participant / event The Member Association that enters a player into a Circuit tournament is responsible for paying the entry fees for that player. The entry fees become due if a player is entered and has not been withdrawn by the Member Association be midnight local time on the closing date. If no payment has been received the invoice and original entry will be sent to BADMINTON EUROPE. WITHDRAWALS Please ensure that the organizer is informed immediately when a player has to withdraw, together with the reason. Please use the online system to withdraw your player (until the draw has been made) and inform the organiser by mail or fax. Attention: any withdrawal after October 5 th, 2014 (players being withdrawn on 5 October will not be penalized) for any reason renders the members association concerned liable to an amount of US$ 150 for the inconvenience caused by the withdrawal (as defined in the BWF General Competition Regulations). NO SHOW Any player not showing up at the tournament, without having been withdrawn in advance, renders the Member Association concerned liable to an additional amount of US$ 500,00 for the inconvenience caused by the no show (as defined in BWF General Competition Regulations).

4 OFFICIAL ACCREDITATION To get access to the swiss international, you will need to apply for an online accreditation for each player, coach or other person attending the tournament. Please use our link: SHUTTLECOCKS YONEX AS50 COURTS 5 YONEX courts SCORING SYSTEM 5X11 BWF are pleased this tournament has agreed to support the BWF in testing a new scoring system. The following experimental law of Badminton (Appendix 3 Other Scoring Systems) applies to the playing of this tournament: Laws of Badminton Part II, Section 1B, Appendix 3 Other Scoring Systems 3. the best of five games of 11 points In the case of 3 above, the following variations shall apply to the Laws of Badminton: 7. Scoring System 7.1 A match shall consist of the best of five games 7.2 A game shall be won by the side which first scores 11 points 8. Change of Ends at the end of the second game, at the end of the third game, if there is to be a fourth game; and at the end of the fourth game, if there is to be a fifth game; and in the fifth game when a side first scores 6 points. 16. Continuous play, Misconduct & penalties 16.2 Intervals not exceeding 60 seconds, only in the fifth game, when the leading score reaches 6 points and not exceeding 120 seconds between the first and second games, second and third games, third and fourth games, and fourth and fifth games shall be allowed in all matches Please note only the variation to the regular laws in this system are included in Appendix 3 (wording above). All the regular laws such as (change of ends after the first game) apply as per normal.

No taxes will be deducted. TRANSPORT The official point of arrival is BELP-Bern airport. Participants coming by flight should land in Belp-Bern, Geneva or Zürich. Flights coming in to Zurich or Geneva should take the train to Yverdon. There are trains available almost every 30 minutes. Please consult The local meeting point is Yverdon-les-Bains train station. Transport from and to Belp/Bern airport, as well as the shuttle service between the hotels, train station and the hall, will be provided by the organizer. è Please advise the organizer about your arrival date, time, flight number and number of persons composing the team not later than the closing date (Sep. 24, 2014) otherwise the organizer can not guarantee for the pick-up! 6 MEALS All warm meals could be taken at the hall. STRINGING SERVICE Provide by YONEX CLOTHING/ADVERTISING Clothing and advertising will be permitted in accordance with the regulations of the BWF. (Competition Regulations 19 to 23). For International Challenge tournaments, the name on the back of the shirt is mandatory for all matches in the main draw. It is mandatory for the semi-finals and finals that double partners wear the same color. player s name (mandatory for all matches) country (optional) advert (Optional) INSURANCE The organizer declines responsibility and covering of costs for possible injuries or other damages. It is up to each participant to insure himself. MEDICAL SERVICE Samariter and physiotherapists will be present in the sports hall during the tournament. DRUG TESTING According to Swiss Law Drug Testing may be carried out on a random basis at any time. VISA All participants needing a visa should request for the letter of participation from the organizer by the September 16 th, BETTING Betting might be offered from this event. Please note that betting is not allowed to be made by players or officials connected to the Event either in person or through a third party. Participants may therefore not make bets on the Event or procure through third parties the making of bets with a betting agency. Participants who, in violation of this prohibition, nevertheless make or procure through third parties the making of bets with betting agencies shall be immediately disqualified from participation in the Event and are liable for legal prosecution. Similarly manipulation of games will be met with disqualification and possible legal prosecution. Any violation mentioned above is also a breach of Player's Code of Conduct (Art. 5.2.) and will be sanctioned by BWF. WWW / INTERNET / INFO PRACTICE COURTS On Wednesday 15/10/2014 practice courts (5) are available in the main hall from 14:00h until 19:00h. DRAW / SEEDING Will be done by Badminton Europe.

7 BEC CIRCUIT In 2014/15, the Swiss International is the officially part of the BADMINTON EUROPE CIRCUIT 2014/2015 organised by Badminton Europe.
