Each residency will have different guiding themes including strategic planning, caching and cmmunicatin skills and managing and evaluating quality imprvement initiatives. COURSE CONTENT AND APPROACH This in persn residency will prvide students with the pprtunity t cnnect with faculty and fellw students while engaging in highly interactive experiential and applied learning activities. Thrughut the weekend, students will learn frm faculty members as well as current health sectr leaders. Students will have the chance t apply and practice key skills using interactive, prblem based learning in a challenging but supprtive envirnment. Mdules will typically include an intrductin t the tpic by the instructr(s) as well as grup discussin and breakut exercises (e.g., case studies, simulatins, rle plays, presentatins). Active participatin is an essential aspect f the residency. Students can anticipate the residency t be rigrus and engaging and shuld expect t devte the designated weekend t participatin and preparatin. The residency will als prvide valuable bnding and netwrking pprtunities, and students are encuraged t use it as an pprtunity t cnnect with bth fellw classmates and faculty. ** PLEASE NOTE: Althugh nt mandatry, if pssible students are asked t bring a laptp r tablet t each day f the residency. Students may be required t d quick research and put tgether grup presentatins ver fairly shrt perids f time, and it may be useful fr students t have access t a cmputer during these sessins.

REQUIRED READINGS Required readings must be cmpleted befre the start f the residency and shuld be cnsidered essential backgrund material. Students will be expected t integrate the readings int their analyses. Where supplementary readings are included, they are intended t present additinal backgrund and depth n particular tpics and t act as a resurce fr further wrk in these areas. The mdule intrduces a systematic apprach t assess evidence generated by studies that utilize varius designs and methds. The cncepts reviewed in this mdule will prvide a fundatin in critically appraising evidence that health and healthcare stakehlders encunter in their fields f practice.
