Includes an verview f the traditinal mass media: their functins, structures, supprts, and influences. Student prficiency in Critical Thinking will be assessed by a frmal ut-f-class essay assignment. Persnal, Scial Respnsibility, and Teamwrk will be assessed as part f lng unit r majr essay assignment, which will include assigned reading respnses, pre-writing activities, multiple drafts, and grup activities (such as peer review r grup presentatins). VIOLATIONS Pssible punishments fr academic dishnesty may include a grade f 0 r F n the particular assignment, failure in the curse, and/r recmmendatin fr suspensin r expulsin will be referred t the Cllege Dean f Students fr disciplinary dispsitin. Students wh wish t appeal a grade penalty shuld ntify the instructinal supervisr within 30 wrking days f the incident. A standing cmmittee appinted by the Cllege Dean f Instructin will cnvene t sustain, reduce, r reverse the grade penalty.
