2 II. Professional Experience: A. Current Professional Position in Higher Education July 2014 to Present Wichita State University Chief Student Affairs Officer (CSAO) at Wichita State University responsible for a $800,000 salary and operating budget for the Vice President s office and a nearly $30M total salary and operating budget for the Division of Student Affairs. The Division of Student Affairs has 68 FTE Classified Staff and 132 FTE Unclassified staff for a total FTE staff of 200 people. The Division of Student Affairs also employs several hundred student workers and works with several hundred volunteers throughout the course of a year. The oversees the following units and offices: Student Engagement and Dean of Students - includes the offices of Diversity and Inclusion (formerly Multicultural Affairs), Student Involvement, Child Development Center, Student Health Services, Counseling & Testing Center, Campus Recreation, and the Office of Housing & Resident Life. Rhatigan Student Center includes the areas of Human Resources, University Bookstore, Business Office, Plant Operations, Recreation Center, Event Services, Shocker Bowling, Shocker ID Card Center, Marketing, and Sodexo Dining Services Office. Office of Special Programs/TRIO/GEARUP includes the areas of Disability Services, GEARUP (3 separate grant programs), Disability Student Services, McNair Scholars Program, Educational Opportunity Center, Talent Search, Student Support Services, Upward Bound Wichita Prep, Upward Bound Math-Science, Upward Bound Communications, and Veterans Upward Bound. Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards is responsible for all Code of Conduct issues and reports directly to the. Development for Student Affairs the Director of Development for the Division of Student Affairs reports directly to the and does outreach and fundraising on behalf of the division.

Implemented a Divisional restructuring plan in the Summer Initiated an updated Strategic Planning Process for the Division of Student Affairs in July B. Past Professional Positions in Higher Education July 2009 to July 2014 Vice President for Campus Life & University Relations Wichita State University Chief Student Affairs Officer (CSAO) at Wichita State University responsible for a $1.2M salary and operating budget for the Vice President s office, a $35.2M salary and operating budget for the Division of Campus Life & University Relations, and a Financial Aid budget of $94.5M. The Division of Campus Life & University Relations has a fulltime staff of 346 people, a part-time staff of 144 people, a student worker/ga staff of 524 people, and a volunteer base of 622 people. The Vice President for Campus Life & University Relations oversees the following units and offices:

Office of Financial Aid the staff in Financial Aid are responsible for administering all scholarship and aid programs at WSU. Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards is responsible for all Code of Conduct issues and reports directly to me. Development for Campus Life & University Relations the Director of Development for the CLUR division reports directly to me and does outreach and fundraising on behalf of the division. Initiated and completed a change in the reporting and supervision lines of the custodial and maintenance staff in the Office or Housing & Residence Life in November Established Multicultural Student Recruitment and Retention Performance Agreements with the Kansas Board of Regents in June Initiated a Strategic Planning Initiative for the Division of Campus Life & University Relations in June Collaborated with the Office of Human Resources to develop the first ever standard evaluation form for Unclassified Professional Staff in March July 2003 to July 2009 Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs University of Nebraska at Omaha Chief Student Affairs Officer (CSAO) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha responsible for the administration, coordination, and development of all the student affairs activities and functions of the campus. Responsible for offices including Student Affairs Technology, Undergraduate Admissions Processing, Records & Registration (Registrar), Financial Aid & Scholarships, New Student Enrollment (consists of Recruitment Services and New Student Orientation), Testing Center, Judicial Affairs, Counseling Services, University Division, Multicultural Affairs, Student Health Services,

In all there are approximately 275 full and part-time staff and student workers and the office budgets are approximately $7 million. The Office of Financial Aid oversees and administers nearly $80 million in total aid annually. Focus on fostering collaboration across the campus and manage changes in policies and practices that affect student life and student development. Work closely with the Student Disability Services Office and the Student Support Services (SSS) Trio Grant program called Project Achieve. Responsible for administering the University Program and Facility Fee (UPFF) program that is now a $7.25 million program that provides support for student fee-related programs. Act as the primary Incident Command Officer (ICO) for the UNO campus. Foster diversity in policies and practices and support a climate of inclusion for all members of the university community. Participate in Master Facilities Planning. Recent projects include the following: 384 bed housing facility at $16.5M completed and opened Fall stall parking structure at $11.9M completed and opened Fall 2008 Renovation and expansion of the Campus Recreation/Student Health Offices at $38.5M Completed and opened Fall Coordinate and assist in major events which include all commencement programs and student honors convocation. September 1997 to June 2003 Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Enrollment Services and Director of Admissions, Records & Registration University of Nebraska at Omaha Coordinate activities for the Recruitment Services Office, the Financial Aid Office, and the Office of Admissions, Records & Registration with 48 FTE permanent staff and student workers with operating and salary/benefits budgets of million dollars; Participate in campus-wide strategic planning initiatives; Research and provide reports and analysis in areas of recruitment and retention; Develop strategies for the use of web and internet technologies to enhance the delivery of student services; Oversee the use of technology for staff and evaluate processes for efficiency and effectiveness; Assist with the coordination and management of University commencement and Student Honors Convocation activities.
