The division consists of 22 departments and units: Student Involvement and Leadership; Student Diversity and Inclusion (International and Multicultural Student Services); Student Media; Career Center; Student Media; Student Union; Bookstore and Bronco Shops; Children s Center; University Dining Services (contract administration); Campus Recreation; Student Affairs Marketing; Student Affairs IT; Dean of Students; Veterans Affairs; Disability Resource Center; Women s Center; University Housing and Residence Life; Admissions; Financial Aid and Scholarships; New Student and Family Programs; and the Registrar. Over 175 professional staff with an annual budget of approximately $56 million.

2 2011- present ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education Boise State University 2 Serve as member of the faculty. Currently working to create a higher education leadership cohort for delivery in Courses taught so far: University Foundations 100, Discussion Leader. Selected accomplishments and initiatives at Boise State University: Student Success Created the Office of the Dean of Students to insure that students have a safe, healthy, intellectual, and social community in which to succeed. Realigned the structure of the division to better address the needs of students. Created a funded student internship program to give undergraduates the ability to exploring both what working in the division entails as well as the opportunity of real world experience before they graduate. Restructured and implemented a new behavioral intervention team CARE (Campus Assessment Resource and Education). Led the planning for the development of co-located space for the Disability Resources Center and the Office of Veterans Services. Also assisted in creating the Veterans Lounge in the space. Created two offices to serve the specific needs of the departments in the division who ultimately serve students Student Affairs IT and Student Affairs Marketing. For their organizational needs, students us both offices. Speak to many student organizations and at presentations for Orientation to students and parents on strategies for academic success through campus engagement. Provided leadership for the attainment of a Gold Award in 2012 and a Bronze Award in 2015 from NASPA in the Excellence Awards Category in two different divisional department initiatives designed to enhance student engagement. Financial Leadership Lead a division with a work force of over 700 with an annual budget that is approximately 56 million. Chair the Committee for Student Fee Hearings and lead the annual proceedings for those efforts. Inaugurated a financial planning process with department heads and lead them annually to insure that the mission and outcomes of the department are in line with the budgetary path. Successfully advocated for more central funding of student scholarships and realignment of current scholarship moneys. Provide direction and oversight to several auxiliary operations, including dining services (corporate contracted), campus bookstore, Bronco shops, University Health Services (reported to Student Affairs from ), Campus Recreation, University Housing and Residence Life, and the Children s Center.

3 3 Strategic Enrollment Management Reorganized and enhanced the entire enrollment process at Boise State to achieve the desired enrollment stabilization and growth goals. Placed strong emphasis on branding, marketing, outreach, and seamless processes. Developed and funded out of state territory managers located in other states. Created the Executive Enrollment Council (EEC) and co-chair this group with the Provost. Provide direction and oversight to the EEC in creating the first Strategic Enrollment Plan for Boise State University. Speak at many events for prospective students, travel to off campus locations to speak to prospective students and parents, and make calls to prospective students. Strategic Institutional Planning Led the development of the vision, mission, core values, and strategic plan for the Division of Student Affairs. Provided leadership and sponsorship for three key strategic initiatives (Student Success, Complete Boise State, and Integrated University Planning) as part of the University Strategic Plan. Provide oversight and direction for the Assessment Efforts and Annual Plan reporting that involves learning outcomes that provides meaningful feedback to the planning initiatives of the departments. Led the division in an institutional process of Program Prioritization that assisted each division of the University to analytically and strategically review its programs and processes for a Boise State plan to the State Board of Education ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS Mississippi State University Provided leadership, supervision, and administrative oversight with the Vice President, the Assistant Vice President and the Dean of Students in achieving the mission of the University, the Division of Student Affairs. The division comprised 22 departments and units, and provided leadership for the directors responsible for the following: Housing and Residential Life; Recreational Sports; MSU Institute of Golf; the Spirit Teams; Admissions and Scholarships; Student Financial Aid; Testing and Assessment Services; University Bookstore contract administrator); and Marketing for the division. Served as primary advisor for the Student Association (student government) and work in conjunction with a committee of advisors to enable them sufficient assistance so as to serve the student body of Mississippi State University. Supervised 75 professional staff and approximately 900 total staff and students while overseeing a budget of around $33 million ADJUNCT PROFESSOR Student Affairs in Higher Education/College Counseling Mississippi State University Served as Adjunct faculty member in the College of Education. Supervised students for Internships/Practica and assisted in grading of comprehensive examinations. Courses taught: HED 8113, Administration of Student Personnel Services in Higher Education, 2011;

Enrollment increased over 26% over five years, from 16,000 to 20,000 and increased the quality of the freshman class. Led planning efforts to increase the community interaction of the residence life experience to achieve retention goals and enrollment growth. Provided leadership and planning and construction in the planning of approximately $130 million of new residential facilities, funded by revenue bonds. This added 2400 new beds to the housing system, which also included the demolition of five existing residence halls. Led units in the division with a work force of 900 staff and students and a total budget of approximately $33 million. Reorganized the assessment efforts of the division and led the annual planning process to incorporate assessment of outcomes. Led efforts that brought scholarship initiatives together and created a recruitment program that brought in top performing students for the University. Supported the MSU Golf Institute that was both a public golf course and a learning laboratory for several majors and students at the University as well as the neighboring community. Assisted the Division of Student Affairs with the planning process that ultimately created a Strategic Plan. Provided leadership to auxiliary operations, including the MSU Golf Institute, Housing and Residence Life, and the campus bookstore (corporate contracted) OWNER and FOUNDER M & D Solutions Offered consulting services to institutions requiring direction with admissions challenges and/or recruitment issues and student engagement models; provided researched methodology for strategic recruitment planning, communications plan development and scheduling, student life issues, and operational and functional training in admissions policy and practices.
