2 Course Description This course will examine the unique health care needs of children with cerebral palsy, contemporary evaluation and intervention strategies, and treatment modalities to maximize function and long-term outcomes. The focus will be on understanding the diagnosis, spasticity management options, orthopedic interventions and sleep health concerns. Course Objectives At the completion of the course, participants should be able to: State how cerebral palsy is assessed Describe how treatment recommendations may be categorized according to GMFCS levels Identify associated conditions, including sleep health issues Accreditation is accredited by the Minnesota Medical Association to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
