1 Conference Calls Conference calls for instructors are scheduled for Friday, April 10 at 3pm and Saturday, April 11 at noon. These times are Eastern Daylight Time. Worth area): Friday evening/saturday all day Evening Reception (5-8pm) Friday, April 17; Conference 9-5 Saturday April 18, 2015 Conference location: First United Methodist Church of Colleyville, 1000 Church St. Colleyville TX Hotel Information: Holiday Inn Express, 309 W. State Hwy 114 in Grapevine ( ) or Hilton Garden Inn DFW North, 205W. State Hwy 114 in Grapevine ( ).. There are many hotels in this area. There will be discussions on Skype classes/research opportunity, Falls Prevention and share routines. The community is invited in for a Saturday afternoon class, which makes this a good opportunity for an instructor in this area. Optional CPR. More topics may be added. Friday reception and lunch Saturday will be provided. Deadline for registration is Friday, April 10th.

2 Virginia (Richmond): DATE: Sat. April 25 (noon-5pm)-sun. April 26 (9-2). Lunch will be served both days Conference site: American Family Fitness (west end location), W. Broad Street, Richmond VA Hotel Information: Hilton Hotel & Spa at Short Pump at West Broad Street Richmond, Wingate by Wyndham/Short Pump at North Gayton Road Richmond, and Candlewood Suites/Short Pump at 4120 Tom Leonard Dr. in Glen Allen. Saturday. we will start at noon with lunch. Following, we will cover SKYPE classes/research opportunity, Falls Prevention, Dance/Rhythm/Props/Tunes, and share routines. Sunday we will cover marketing proposals, details on acquiring Thriving After Breast Cancer for the blind and an aqua Healthy-Steps class. Bring a suit if you want to actively participate in this session. Additional topics may be added. Massachusetts (Boston/Norwood): Sat. - Sun May 2-3 Conference and Hotel Information: The Hampton Inn (phone ) in Boston/Norwood. Lunch will be provided both days. One instructor has already offered space in her home. There will be talks on Skype classes/research opportunities, use of props, exercises for persons with Parkinson's disease, Falls Prevention, alternative exercise programs and sharing of routines. Optional CPR. More topics may be added. Washington (Seattle): Sat.-Sun. May Conference Location: Gilda's Club Seattle, 1400 Broadway, Seattle WA Hotel information: Silver Cloud 1100 Broadway, Seattle ( ) There are less expensive hotels in the area. There will be talks on Skype classes/research opportunities, Senior Living, Falls Prevention,complimentary exercise programs, music and routines, and sharing our routines. Optional CPR. More topics may be added. Hours will be Saturday noon to 5 and Sunday 9-2. All conferences will offer the opportunity to renew your CPR certification. You must advise me in advance if you want this session and the fee will be an additional $30 which includes the amount owed ARC, supplies and transportation of the manikin.

3 Hotel registration is each instructor's responsibility. You may use time spent at these conferences towards your 10 hour Continual Education annual Healthy-Steps requirement. Trainings There was an instructor workshop in San Diego on March Please welcome Maren Collins, Arlene Johnson, Amy Flinn, and Dione Grillo as our new Healthy-Steps Instructors. Several "seasoned" instructors joined us which provided additional information sharing. Thank you to Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion for providing the perfect venue for the training. There will also be an instructor training workshop in Culpeper VA on the weekend of July No registration fee for current instructors. Let me know if you are interested in becoming a Trainer. You must have taught the Healthy-Steps Program for a minimum of 6 months and be in good standing, i.e. fees paid and signed the contract with BEV, LLC. Research Are you working primarily with clients that have lymphedema? Let me know if you would be interested in doing some research.
