The conference was a great success and provided the additional educational and networking opportunities, we all need. 6 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS 2013 OFFICERS The PPA Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for 2013 slate of Officers. In accordance with the Public Purchasing Association s Constitution and Bylaws, the governing body consists of four Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) and the Immediate Past President. Each Officer serves for a one year period. The list of current Board members can be found at The Nominating Committee is hereby accepting nominations for the following positions. President Vice President Secretary Treasurer The current officers are: Dawn Berry, President Jamie Brockway, Vice President Rebecca Hunter, Secretary Vanessa Freeman, Treasurer The Board of Directors oversees the management of the property, affairs, activities and business of PPA and establishes policies, which are within the limits specified in the Constitution and Bylaws. Serving on the Board is a worthwhile and rewarding experience for you professionally and is vital to the governance of the Association. Eligibility requirements per Article I of the Bylaws: Candidates for any Officer Position must have been a member in good standing and agree to become a member of NPI within three months of being elected an Officer. If you know of any individual who meets these requirements, including yourself, and who is energetic, enthusiastic and willing to serve, please submit your nomination to Marty Davis at mdavis@gptx.org. Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, October 4, Nominees who meet the eligibility requirements will be mailed a questionnaire to ensure that they are willing to accept the nomination. The Nominating Committee will consider all nominees that accept the nomination and return the questionnaire. A proposed slate of Officers will be presented for a formal vote at the October 25, 2012 meeting. Nominations may also be made from the floor at that meeting. The incoming President will be appointing Committee Chairs.
