2 Greetings Energy-related issues play an ever-increasing role in political discussions both in Germany and Finland. It is not the aim of the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce to participate in any debate about the pros and cons of a particular form of energy, but to support German and Finnish companies when looking for opportunities to collaborate in the energy sector. This, precisely, is the agenda of the fi rst Finnish-German Energy Day, which we hope may also serve as a forum for more and intensifi ed commercial exchanges between German and Finnish companies. Our main task is to provide advice and support for Finnish and German companies as well as promote business relations between Finland and Germany. In particular small and medium-sized companies may benefi t from our customized services for the German and Finnish markets. We would like to thank our cooperation partners Energiateollisuus ry and EK/Cleantech as well as our sponsors for their assistance and support. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the fi rst Finnish-German Energy Day! Moderators Mrs. Carola Teir-Lehtinen, MSc, Board Director.
