5 Profile Rómulo Branco launched his off-road career just five years ago, after an initial introduction to RallyCross. Having raced the Portuguese Off-road Championship occasionally, in 2011 he sets off his attendance to FIA international competitions, running the Spain Baja. In 2012 he takes part in the recently created Rally Raid Angolan Championship and enters the year 2013 aiming to run all the Off-road World Cup races, in the T2 class. He achieves an excellent 2nd place in his début race; he overcomes quite consistently his first approach to the desert competitions, with challenging dunes crossings and demanding navigation; he is declared champion of two European Bajas and he seizes the title of Off-road T2 World Cup Vice-Champion. 7 PROGRAM 2014 Rómulo Branco s début at the Off-road s prime category, the T1 class, will be set in a particularly busy sports calendar, where he will attend three major championships. Although the main goal is to compete for the top titles in Portugal and Angola, Rómulo Branco will, nonetheless, take part is some world races, namely in Italia, Spain and Morocco, where the Portalegre Baja is the one competition included in both the Portuguese Championship and the Wotld Cup. Sports wise, for Rómulo Branco the 2014 program will end in January 2015 with the Dakar Rally. Portalegre Baja is the one competition included in both the Portuguese Championship and the Wotld Cup. Sports wise, for Rómulo Branco the 2014 program will end in January 2015 with the Dakar Rally.

9 PROGRAM Dakar Rally The race conceived by Thierry Sabine in 1978 is every off-road pilot s dream. The Dakar Rally is long considered the greatest off-road competition, the biggest rally in the world. Translated into numbers, the Dakar Rally shows its huge dimension, proves why it is a human challenge and a preferred marketing machine. 11 MACHINERY THE With such a demanding calendar, Rómulo Branco will have at his disposal two competition vehicles, one exclusively for the Angolan championship, the Mitsubishi Pajero Evo, and a Hilux Toyota for the T1 Portuguese Championship and remaining international competitions. 13 MEANS THE For the Portuguese championship and the other European Bajas, Rómulo Branco will have a motorhome truck at his disposal for assistance during competition, furnished with a mobile workshop. This motorhome will bring comfort to his team and his guests and at the same time it will carry all the necessary technical means to deliver assistance while competing. The team will have another 4x4 vehicle for assistance purposes. For the Dakar Rally and the Morocco Rally, due to the uniqueness of such races and its particular assistance requirements, the team will use a 6x6 truck fully equipped for competition assistance and a 4x4 assistance car.
