4 Your Plan Your Plan standard With Your Plan you create a pay monthly plan to suit you. Choose your monthly minutes, add text and photo messages and then add any Orange services you want. On standard tariffs your minutes roll over to the next month if you don t use them. Plus you ll get free itemised billing and free calls to Orange customer services. If you tend to make most of your calls outside times, see page 8 for plans that will suit you better. If after a while you find that you would like to change Your Plan (eg. add more messages) you can. The service is available with Your Plan 600 or 900, and prices start at 55. For more details on Orange Premier go to or call customer services on G talk minutes per month Choose any standard voice plan from our existing range of service plans including any text, picture message or data bundles you would like to add on. Family Orange has launched a package that makes it a little easier to manage your family's mobile spend. Tailor a combination of service plans (both PAYG and Pay Monthly) to suit the needs of your family One monthly itemised bill covering all the plans held under one account. 50% extra free calls for all pay monthly family members and 50 free text messages a month for pay as you go family members Two free safety calls every time pay as you go family members run out of credit If you have kids, you can control the amount they spend with pocket money top-ups. These are credited to your bill and start from only 2.50 a week. You decide how much call time to give them on a weekly or monthly basis and Orange will automatically top-up their phones by that amount To open an account one of your family must have, or sign up for, an Orange pay monthly and another must have a pay monthly or a pay as you go service plan. You can have up to 4 pay monthly and 4 pay as you go phones on each family account. please note: if you choose not to pay your service plan by direct Debit there will be a 3 monthly charge per person. If you change your Service Plan or number of inclusive minutes which you receive as part of your monthly subscription, you will lose any rollover minutes which you may have accumulated in the previous month. 6 7

6 off- talk plans If you make the majority of your calls between 7pm and 7am, at s and English bank holidays, then an off- service plan may suit you. Orange to Orange off- gives you 1000 inclusive off- minutes to other Orange phones, Orange Answer Phone and landlines for 20 per month. Orange Combination gives you 200 inclusive off- minutes to other UK mobile networks and 800 inclusive off- minutes to Orange phones, Orange Answer Phone and landlines for 25 per month. Any Network off- gives you 1000 inclusive off- minutes to call any network and landlines. This is a promotional off- tariff and is only available to new customers. Orange World Access packs - Choose from Orange World 4, Orange World 10 or Orange World 25 (see page 45). Orange World 4 is best for general browsing on Orange World. Orange World 10 gives you more inclusive megabytes and is therefore better if you download a lot of video clips or music tracks news alerts.breaking news alerts direct to your phone. You will be charged from 12p per Orange Text Media alert received. See page 38 Orange Care.Protect your phone with Orange Care for 5 per month. If your phone is stolen or damaged a replacement will usually be dispatched within 24 hours of your claim being accepted. See page 34. Terms, conditions and exclusions apply Answer Phone 10 11

8 Orange Answer Phone takes messages for you when you re not around you can record your own greeting. Just call 123 and select option 3 you can use your Answer Phone to send a message to an individual or a group of up to 25 other Orange users. You will be charged at your usual Answer Phone rate while recording and sending the message you can listen and reply to s sent to your linked account on your Orange Answer Phone. This service costs 20p per minute in the UK. For information on setting up your go to if you are on Your Plan, calls to Answer Phone are included in your inclusive minutes. Outside of inclusive minutes you will be charged 5p per minute in the UK. Costs for Answer Phone on Orange to Orange off- are shown on page 8. If you are not on Your Plan, costs are listed in the back of this booklet messaging 12 Orange Answer Phone call charges, when abroad, depend on where you are in the world. Using your phone abroad is subject to coverage and handset compatibility If somebody calls you but doesn t leave a message when your phone is switched off or out of coverage, Orange Answer Phone will send you a text to let you know. 9 Text Messaging Text within the UK, from the UK to countries abroad, and whilst abroad. all Orange phones can send and receive text messages in the UK. Text messages cost 10p each with Your Plan, or if you add a bundle of messages to your account they are as little as 6.6p. See Your Plan page 9 text messages to a foreign network from the UK cost 15p each if you are texting while abroad you will be charged at a fixed rate per text message. See page 31 for details. Using your phone abroad is subject to coverage and handset compatibility receiving standard text messages on your Orange phone is free, both in the UK and abroad unused text messages cannot be rolled over if you bought or changed your bundle after 3 November 2003 Orange Text Media alerts cost from 12p per message received. When using third party text services (e.g. competitions), rates depend on the provider you will only be charged for a text message once the intended recipient has received it Text Messages can now be sent from your Orange phone to any BT fixed landline (although BT doesn t need to be your service provider) where the number starts 01 or 02. Messages are charged at standard text message rates please note: Orange Value Promise rates vary. Call customer services on 150 for details. Photo Messaging If you have a Photo Messaging phone, show your friends what you re up to with a photo message. photo messages can be sent to any compatible UK Photo Messaging phone or direct to any address. See for further details photo messages can also be sent to non-compatible UK phones. The recipient will receive a text message detailing how to view the photo message online at you can use Photo Messaging in the countries listed on page 46 (using GPRS abroad) 14 15

10 standard photo messages cost 25p per message sent in the UK, or from abroad, from as little as 20p if you have a bundle. See Your Plan page 9 a multiple message consisting of two or more photos over 50kbs, will cost 50p Orange Postcards - You can use your phone to take a picture, then send it by MMS shortcode to be turned into a postcard that will be delivered by the Royal Mail. Postcards cost 1.75 in the UK or 2.25 overseas. Standard WAP charges apply (you will need to connect to WAP briefly to finish creating your message) Orange MMS alerts cost 25p per message received. Video Messaging Video Messaging is the next step from Photo Messaging. if your phone supports video messaging you can record a short video message and send it to friends, family and business colleagues all around the world you can send video messages to any compatible Video Messaging phone. If you send a video message to a non-compatible phone, the recipient will receive a text message telling them how to view the video message online at as a pay monthly customer you can use Video Messaging abroad. 11 Orange Value Promise At Orange we want to make sure we deliver the best value to our customers. That s why we offer the Orange Value Promise: Orange Value Promise Orange Value Promise offers the Orange equivalent of non promotional tariffs, available to individual pay monthly customers from O 2,Vodafone and T-mobile retail stores only. All OVP prices include VAT. There are some call charges that Orange do not replicate. These include, and are not limited to calls to premium rate numbers, calls to personal rate numbers, calls to 0844 numbers, calls to 0871 numbers, calls made whilst roaming abroad, and calls made to international destinations. And it s a lot cheaper than you think. calling abroad from the UK Flat rate charges to mobiles or landlines abroad from the UK means great value all day long. International Calling calling abroad with Orange is simple to do and call charges are easy to understand international calls are divided into 6 zones. Each zone has a flat rate, so you pay the same all day, every day, whether you are calling a landline or a mobile Orange customers in the UK with 3G phones are able to make and receive international video calls to customers with 3G phones who are customers of the following networks: France (Orange France), Spain (Telefonica), Italy (TIM). 16 to find out the cost of a call, simply text the words UK TO followed by the country you want to call, e.g. UK TO ITALY, to 150 and we ll text you back the rates to make calls and send texts to that country. It s free to send the text request from abroad as well as the UK buy 10, 25 or 50 worth of Calling Abroad Minutes and get 20% extra free. You can use your minutes to call any mobile or landline, 24 hours a day. To get your Calling Abroad Minutes call 150 or visit any Orange shop.a one-off payment will appear on your next bill and your minutes expire 6 months after activation. Terms and conditions apply using your phone abroad Using your phone abroad is as simple as using it at home. to call or send a text message from abroad to the UK is easy. Simply drop the first zero and add the international dialling code +44. e.g. to call the UK mobile number XXX XXX from abroad change it to XXX XXX. To call a local number, while abroad, you will still need to drop the first zero and add the international dialling code receiving standard texts while you are abroad is free. However, if you have requested to receive messages from third party text services these may be chargeable, rates depend on the provider to listen to messages when abroad, access your Orange Answer Phone in the normal way by pressing and holding 1 on your Orange phone and following the simple steps. You will need your PIN number on certain networks. You ll need to set this up before you travel, so call Answer Phone from your Orange phone, select option 3 to change your personal options and follow the prompts. Calls to Answer Phone while you are abroad will be charged at international rates, and do not come out of your inclusive minutes calling customer services while abroad is free using your phone abroad is subject to network coverage and handset compatibility. Please note: this service is currently only available in France or Spain. 17 Travel Extras if you are going abroad, whether on business or on holiday, go with Travel Extras from Orange. Choose to spend 10 or 25 on a Travel Extras bundle and get 11 or to make calls (including calls to your Answer Phone) and send text messages while abroad Travel Extras are valid for six months so you can roll over any unused value to your next trip abroad Travel Extras are valid for use in Europe 1 countries. When you are abroad you will be charged the same per minute rate, but you are charged according to the foreign network s rules on charging increments. For example, a foreign network may have a 30 second minimum call charge, and then bill per second thereafter. When you are in Northern Cyprus, you will be charged at rest of world rates if you make or receive calls on Turkcell, IS-Tim or Telsim. These are Turkish networks and are therefore charged accordingly. These rates do not apply to customers on Your Plan for Business , Talk , Business Together and Use and Pay Service Plans. The costs for making and receiving video calls while abroad are the same as voice calls - this is for a promotional period - ends 30th April, to find out the exact cost of a call in advance, simply text the word FROM followed by the country you re going to, e.g. FROM FRANCE to 150 and we ll text you back the rates to receive and make calls in that country. It s free to send the text request from abroad as well as in the UK Orange World can be accessed using GPRS (charged at GPRS rate, see page 46) or if GPRS Roaming is unavailable via dial up which costs the same as making an international call 31

18 Orange Text Media alerts can be received abroad if they have been set up before leaving the UK. Each message received costs from 12p Orange Voice Media can be used abroad by calling , and will be charged at Orange International Calling rates please note: using Orange World or Orange Text services while abroad depends on whether the foreign network supports them. 19 Orange Care Your phone is an important part of your life so it makes sense to have it covered by Orange Care. Orange Care provides worldwide cover for your phone for 12 months against loss, theft, damage and breakdown. A replacement phone of the same model will usually be dispatched anywhere in the UK within 24 hours of your claim being accepted Orange will transfer your old number and Service Plan details to your replacement phone, free Orange Care costs 5 per month. It can be purchased at any time, seven days a week there is a one-off 15 administration charge added to each accepted claim Orange Care includes insurance and warranty which is subject to Terms and Conditions and exclusions. A copy of the Terms and Conditions are available by calling customer services free on 150. To activate Orange Care, call 150 free from your Orange phone. Memory Mate Memory Mate makes sure you won t lose all the numbers on your SIM card, even if you lose your phone. it keeps essential SIM card information safely stored on a Memory Mate card (which is about the size of a credit card) the card will store address book entries, fixed dialling numbers and saved text messages this service is available at all Orange shops while you wait and your Memory Mate card will be given to you to take home information can be quickly transferred when upgrading to a new phone Memory Mate also formats the numbers on your SIM card with +44 so your numbers are ready to call back to the UK when you are abroad a Memory Mate card costs 2.99 To back up your data with Memory Mate, go into any Orange shop

20 Orange directory enquiry service Track down the number you need with Orange , and get connected. to find UK personal and business numbers call from your Orange phone or any other phone information services Orange offers a personalised service and you will receive a free text message confirming the number you requested when you call from an Orange phone up to three searches can be made per call and each call costs 59p your call can be connected directly for an additional charge of 30p per minute you can find an international number while in the UK by calling international directory enquiries on It will be read to you and sent to you by text in the correct international format. 27 Network Performance Promise Line 2 If you re cut off and it s our fault, we ll give you up to a minute of talk time back. if we lose your call while you are in the middle of a conversation, just call the same number straight away and we ll credit you with up to a minute of talk time to qualify, simply call back the number you dialled before within five minutes of being cut off, without dialling any other numbers in between Line 2 is a second voice line. It means you can have one phone with two numbers and two Answer Phones.
